Callippe Preserve Golf Course

This course literally had the worst green conditions I have every seen

The greens were punched 3 1/2 weeks ago

But they look and feel like they were punched yesterday.

The fact that this course is not disclosing the fact that greens are in unplayable conditions to patrons says a lot about the poor management

On top of the greens being completely unplayable the round took 6 hours on a Monday early afternoon tee time

Zero Marshalls in site

There was a two group wait on every hole

This is unacceptable anytime but for a Monday 12:30 tee time comeon

I would fire everyone working at this course because the incompetence ranges from green keepers to management

I will never play this course again

This is one of busiest courses in the Bay Area, especially on holidays. Gets really backed up in the afternoon and evenings on weekends and Fridays.

We played this Easter and there was no warden to call when we were backed up for 20 minutes and everyone just figured it out on their own. People started playing random holes at twilight times or just played the first 9 twice.

Overall it’s a really nice course and well maintained. I would say it’s up to pristine condition on most holes. They do start the sprinklers once it hits 7 on the holes.

Fourth cancelled advised proshop told no problem then later charged -BAD BUSINESS!! As first time at course this happened worst was not being advised prior to booking that greens had been punched again BAD BUSINESS! Definitely will not be back here again as such

I don't understand how Callippe sends people out in 10 minute intervals only to have MANY tee boxes stacked up three groups deep. Our round today (Saturday) in perfect weather was 5 hours and 26 minutes. Several groups ahead of us we saw empty holes, but no marshalls the entire round to help.

Such a beautiful location, but never play this course on a weekend if you value your time and sanity.

I love this course, but the pace of play is slow. Waited all day to hit tee shots and approach shots. Would still play here, though tee times every ten minutes back the course up.

Course is in great shape (March ‘25). Weekday rate is a great value for the Bay Area. Lots of beautiful holes. Walked with a push cart, which was a good workout

I chose to play the course knowing they overbook and get slow during the late mornings especially on the weekends, but I was not prepared for today.

We started out strong, teed off on time at 11:30 am. Then it was all down hill from there. 1 hour thru 3 holes. There was a 3 group back up at hole #4.

It took 2 hours and 45 mins to finish the front nine. Hoping others would drop out at the turn, boy was I wrong. At hole #10 there was another 4 group back up. I parked my cart went into the bar and was able to order drinks and a hot meal from the kitchen before teeing off.

From Hole 15 till the end, it was nearly a 5 mins wait per shot. I wished the Marshall out there would enforce the pace of play a little more. Or maybe the course should increase the gapping between tee times. Played my fair share of slow golf but this round takes the cake.

I like golf but 6 hour rounds is brutal.

Got an email saying I didn’t show up for my tee time but I did and played (shot a 93), 3/4 our 4th cancelled

Callippe Preserve is a tough track but definitely fun to play. It’s target golf for sure but with all

Of the elevation changes, forced carries and danger side to side it’s far from boring golf. This track will keep you on your toes. Conditions are always nice and even in mid Winter shape it’s still worth the price. Pace of play is always slow but the tough track probably has a lot to do with that.
