6.5 hours to finish the round . Bad course management , Marshall but he sits on the first tee. Course needs lots of help.

Country club feel
Great course, front 9 level (ish) back nine mountainous but great condition, quite difficult to play but enjoyable. Long way from greens to next tee and weird layout so walking would be too hard I suspect.

Callippe is one of the best muni in the bay area. Great golf course design.. Very good risk/reward holes. Tough finishing holes though. Right now the course condition is very good also.

Pace of play is always pretty slow. Tough to get in a round in 4.5 hours. Course is in good condition and price is reasonable.

Good Balance
Callippe is a course I try to get to once a year. Good balance of challenge vs. ease. Good bang for the buck. Front nine has a better layout than the back nine, I think. Greens were a little slow. Tee sheet was full but there was no drink cart out on the course, seems like an oversight.

I'd heard about this course from fellow golfers who raved about the course. I must say they were correct about the course. It has a variety of challenges that make you think about what you want to do when playing many of the wholes. I really liked that, since many courses are simply straight forward. Look forward to return and use the knowledge gained to improve my score, especially on the 18th, which creates problems if your out of position on any shot.

Beautiful Scenery - too much Maintenance
This course is beautiful. The only downfall was dealing with the maintenance crew the entire round. I was one of the first tee times, and I had to wait almost every hole for the flag to be changed and the bunkers were being fixed up the entire back nine. It was frustrating to say the least.
