Callippe Preserve Golf Course

The greens gotIt was pretty bad the greens got a raid last week there’s so much of sand and bumpy you cannot hit a straight path I wish I would’ve known this I would’ve never played here today I think it’s important for the golf courses to let the people know the course is still not in a condition to play thank you

I play here fairly frequently. I've never understood why this course doesn't have a roaming beverage cart since the course is always packed. The drinking fountains don't contain cups which defeats the purpose.

Also, my biggest beef is pace of play. It took over five hours yesterday to play on a Wednesday afternoon. I've never seen a marshall. The threesome ahead of us were glacially slow but no one asked them to move along.

Weekend pace of play is over 5 to 6 hours which is ridiculous. Course layout, conditions and staff are great but pace of play is a real problem.

I love this course, but the pace of play is atrocious. There is no reason a Monday tee time should take 5.5+ to complete. We teed off at 2:18 and knew we were in for slow round when the back 9 had 3 groups waiting. We ended up calling it after completing hole 16 at 7 pm 💀

This course could use a cart person on weekdays. Slow rounds cause me to drink, so they would make a killing. Would also be nice to have the kitchen open beyond 5 as days are getting later.

The course is in excellent shape except for some bunkers located on fairways of hole number #2 where there were muds/no sands. Other than that everything was great!

Nice layout. Pace was excellent(~2hr) for 1st 9 but significantly slower(~2.5hrs) at back 9.

Course is in Great Shape as always. Some of the sand traps still have water in them but with all the rain it is understandable!!

One of my favorite courses in East Bay. Friendly staffs! Great value for this walkable course. Greens in great condition. Pace was a little slow

We play this course fairly often and like the layout and the price we pay but I can’t remember the last time we finished in under 5 hours. Staff makes no effort to speed up pace of play. Also, on several occasions the carts have died before finishing the round. I’ve heard employees complain about the age of the carts but haven’t seen any changes. Bunkers need to be raked, ball marks on green need to be fixed but I somewhat blame that on the newer generation of golfers who don’t seem to fix these problems. Maybe more education or signage is needed to remind golfers.

I wish the staff or the policy would allow the staff to be more flexible with GolfNow bookings. For example, I had booked 1144, but called to ask if I could get out any sooner as I had a meeting with a client earlier in the evening, I was told that there was an 1122 that had opened but due to having booked on GolfNow, we couldn’t take that as there may be some modifications in price, etc., which I understood and accepted . However, upon arrival there was not only an 1122 but there was an 11 1110 and so on and so on prior to our 1144 teatime that had opened or had gaps. Although. we tried our best, they would not allow us to fill gaps. in short, I wish the policy allowed or the staff was trained to make a sensible accomodations.
