River Ridge Golf Club - The Vineyard Course

Everytime I goto this course there is some fiasco. Last time the range was closed cause they were running out of balls. This time they ran our of carts, and were an hour behind. Huge group of people waiting for carts. The people that did make it on had their cart die on the course (saw at least two tows). They also were algae spraying the greens during the round- I had to wait to hit my chip. Ball was covered completely in green spray.

Tee time pushed back 20 minutes and carts were not readily available. Erogated greens. Either add waaay more yardage markers or equip golfers w/rangefinder.

It’s a shame how mismanaged this course has become. Tee times stacked 5 minutes apart. Not even remotely enough carts for players We didn’t get a cart until 2 minutes before our tee time. We got to the first tee, and the group in front of us hadn’t teed off and they had to wait another ten minutes before they could tee off. We didn’t end up teeing off until about 20 minutes passed our tee time. All in all it took about 40 minutes to finish the first hole. Unless something drastically changed we would’ve been looking at nearly 8 hours to finish 18. We left after the first hole (course did end up refunding). When we were leaving there was a line of about 20 people waiting to get carts (because they were out).

The course itself was in pretty decent shape. Fairways were looking much better than previously and greens rolling fast and true (at least the first hole lol)

This course is in desperate need of restructuring their tee times and BUY SOME MORE CARTS. .30+ minutes a a hole is insanity. Looking around the course, it looked like the whole course was completely backed up on each hole, so it was not just the groups in front of us.

Would’ve been nice to know that the greens would be punched out on four of the holes. Nothing was said at the pro shop or online when booking. Still payed full price.

We noticed the greens ( Lakes) are showing spots that the grass is either black or gone, This is not good especially on Hole # 9 the green is about 20% gone I hope this is put under control and great greens will be once again on all 18 holes

The entire course from tee box to greens is in excellent condition.

Conditions were great, staff were very friendly, and place of play was excellent.

Fairway is excellent greens roll true layout as a challenge from all the tea boxes played during the tropical storm Hillary crazy fun staff is fantastic

Great value for money. I had a bucket on the range, golf buggy , 18 holes, club hire, bought glove, tees and balls all for under $100. They even provided me with a couple of nice guys to play with. Having played over 500 courses around the world, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a good layout, and excellent greens for a public course.

We have played at this course before but never experienced a 5 hour + round. No marshall to be seen, and very frustrating experience. Otherwise, the course was great

Great weather. Pace of play was good to follow along. Slight damp course and certain wet spots. Overall great course.
