Terrible Staff vs Course Maintenance?
On 18th hole lining up for putt, and the course sprinklers went off. Pants were soaked and completely messed up my birdie opportunity. Everything else was ok.
Great Course
We played the Victoria Lakes, pretty windy that day. Can score good it’s a forgiving course. Always love playing here.
Excellent
Good, fun course with big, 2 tiered greens in good shape. Ending with an island green par 3 into the wind was a first.
Course in terrible condition
Greens just punched, bunkers not raked that morning by maintenance staff. Pity this course used to be a gem, but since newer management company took over it has gone steadily down hill.
Sanded greens
Nice course, just sanded the greens and dis not sweep them. Pikes if sand everywhere. Should have warned us before making tee time. Otherwise nice course
Tierra not great
Gone downhill
This was my “go to” place to play for weather, conditions and cost but now I’m done. Vinyard is a pasture now. The last 2 times I’ve played, the greens were atrocious and fairways and bunkers terrible. I know they recently aerated but I can’t recommend this course any longer. Even before the aeration the greens were terrible. Maybe Victoria is better but Vinyard no bueno.
Course rough conditions
The greens had been air rated and not announced that I could tell and the course was not in good shape and the pace of play was awful and the course ambassadors weren’t doing anything. I left on the 10th tee and there were two holes with no one on them.
Going downhill
Everytime I goto this course there is some fiasco. Last time the range was closed cause they were running out of balls. This time they ran our of carts, and were an hour behind. Huge group of people waiting for carts. The people that did make it on had their cart die on the course (saw at least two tows). They also were algae spraying the greens during the round- I had to wait to hit my chip. Ball was covered completely in green spray.
