River Ridge
Very windy. We were behind a horribly slow group of hackers that should've let us play through many times. We were waiting for them a lot. I don't understand how that was pleasant for them? I imagine this course gets of lot of these types. Course conditions were not very good. Greens were very green and better than the rest of the course, which was not so good, Kind of an interesting layout. If you want an inexpensive round of golf and don't mind playing a poor course with a bunch of hackers, it's a good deal. I'll never play there again.
Golf greens
The greens were really bad , looks like some kind of fungus growing and a good roll was IMPOSSIBLE , Let’s go guys what the heck
Excellent pace, needa some work
Glad to find such a good tee time on Sunday. And the pace was good. The greens, however, are really bumpy, and the drought is killing the rest I'd the course
Vineyard golf course
Vineyard and Vitoria lakes are both good golf course nice and clean. Both courses are good and fun to play just make shire bring extra balls when you get to lake area lost some balls but fun overall. Recommend to anybody that likes good view of Ventura and Oxnard.
Greens are HORRIBLE!
Play here once or twice each month, last Sunday the greens on the Lakes course were absolutely uncared for.. 1/4" to 1/2" random growth all around most greens.. Will call ahead before I book any future rounds here...
Course was in better shape overall. Greens look like they were punched recently but playable. Pace of play overall was good
Nice golf weather
River Ridge is always perfect for golfing.
So hot in Los Angeles, but always has perfect weather at Oxnard, and it is worth to drive over an hour to play there.
River Ridge, Oxnard
Course was in fair condition, except for many of the greens. Very rough surface, almost as if it had a fungus. Had a group of players in front of us that seemed more interested in drinking and taking practice swings than playing on pace. I usually enjoy the course, but the extremely slow play with no marshals out to enforce pace made this round a bit frustrating.
Overpriced
A true blue municipal course, and it's not worth $60+ dollars. The rough is crab grass, $15 for range balls and half the tee boxes are best to shyt. The greens are looking like a Muslim country during their normal bombings, with divots and craters everywhere.
Awesome Track
For my golf game the golf course is a test as to whether my golf game is in improving. The fairways are wide enough and the greens are challenging with there size and and undulations when you put. I have friends coming from out of state coming to town. Once I get their schedule I will be making arrangements to play this was awesome course!
Always incredibly slow pace of play & no marshal
Pace of play @ RiverRidge is ALWAYS so slow that we never finish the full 18, which is a huge disappointment. Our last time there was soooo bad that I had to do this review. We had a 2:20 tee time (2 of us) for the Victoria Lakes course. We thought we got really lucky when they paired us w a 2:10 single. Turned out not. We were behind 4 guys, 3 of whom were barefoot (not a big deal to us really) whjo we’re the SLOWEST ever 4-some any of us had ever followed. While there was a group ahead of them, for the most part there was no need to wait for that group. They huddled for minutes before finally getting ready to hit the ball and even then took their sweet time doing so, a ring as if they were the only group on the course. And where was the Marshall (on a holiday weekend). Aside from the slow play, the greens conditions were horrible. There were patches of stuff sorting each green. Picture a trash on your thigh and that’s what the greens looked like. We’re used to golfing in the La Quinta area where the play is never an issue and the course conditions are exceptional, but even against that high standard, our times @ RiverRidge have been the pits, yesterdays just topping the cake.
