River Ridge Golf Club - The Vineyard Course

Sub 4 hour round with 4 walkers on a late Saturday morning, can't ask for better when the green fees were under $40. Great layout, course was in good condition. It can play challenging when it's windy, 20+ mph winds.

Enjoyed my day at Victoria Lakes. Course is in decent condition, pace of play was great.

This course has always been a challenge for me! I enjoy this course every time I play here. Good to see the marshal out enforcing pace of play.

This round was my 2nd one. Played for the first time back in December of 2021 the day after a few days of rain so it was not good so always wanted to play again on a sunny day so I did!.

Love to play here.. Better when you start the round with 6 straight par... sadly over thought my score that made me lose focus.

No matter the score, this course is always fun to play with challenges and nice views. Definitely will come back even though I live 1 hr. drive away.

This course has incredible potential with some of my favorite tee shots and challenging holes. Unfortunately compared to the courses around the area its just not up to par. Greens are always on the slow side & not in the best shape. I would rather play virtually any other course in the area for the same price.

I played the Vineyard course which is a bit more challenging than the other course at River Ridge .

The front nine and back nine are like a gear change . With the front being a bit more open and the back presenting some nice water hazards that have to be calculated to make par or better . A challenging course is one thing but thrown in 40mph winds and now you have a serious degree of difficulty . Watching nice straight drives be swept by the wind at altitude is a humbling experience and there by makes you have to architect your shots with some wind and barometric calculations . And for the cherry on the icing you have the 18th hole Par3 island green . Last time I played Thisbe course with mild wind I was able to land my shot on the green which is surrounded by water 360 degree and managed a par to hole out.

35 mph winds effected a different result of a tee shot the hit the water like diving pelican !!

Dispare not because they clearly know that a lot of people will be lying 3 after a failed tee shot so there's a matted drop area close to the island that will allow you to play the hole out. After that you can do the walk of shame on to the green via the foot bridge connecting the main land to the island . The wind is sometimes a factor depending on the Ventura weather report. So if you have occasion to play this course I highly recommend it . Bring your shot and course management skills with you

Pretty awful fairway and tee box conditions, partially offset by decent greens and good pace. Not sure what happened here, but not the quality conditions I remember from years past.

When i called Asking about a rain/ wind check they said you’re out of luck

I understand Risk at your own but when the actually confirms are not playable, that is absurd

A ball on the green was rolling off repeatedly and this was not

Playable

The staff over the phone almost laughed at me

If i could 0 stars

It was overall a good day on the golf course aside from the cold and rain. The only thing that was bad about the course the greens were very harsh and needed to be rolled and some of the sand traps were like stepping on pavement being so hard. This is still a great course to play and will be back, hope the greens and traps are better next time around
