River Ridge Golf Club - The Vineyard Course

Front 9 was really muddy in spots a lot of overly dead grass. The lakes were green with 0 visibility. The back 9 was in better shape but should have been better for a course in a mild climate like Oxnard.

I almost changed our tee time after reading some of the reviews. But, we were glad we kept it. Course was in pretty good shape and greens were rolling nicely. Would definitely make the trip again. My son and I enjoyed the layout and look forward to playing it again.

Rode with three buddies from Ojai. A favorite "getaway" when Soule Park is unavailable. Check-in quick & easy for 8:06 round, started right on time. I NEED a warm up, but range doesn't open 'til 10:00 on Tuesdays. We tee'd off between groups, but never felt delayed, or pushed. Aside from my play, a perfect day for all. The greens had recently been punched and sanded, but still putted true, although a bit slower than usual on this course.

The slowest greens I've ever played. Like putting on shag carpet. Had to hit downhill putts as hard as I normally hit uphill putts. Hopefully the greens will recover quickly.

Would recommend this course. The length of the course makes it challenging for shot selection. The greens are slow and grainy. Overall a good experience.

Greens were horrible. I've seen smoother pizzas. And dead patches on the greens. They must have sold their greens roller. I'm warned about the conditions at this old gem by golfers 2 counties away. Fairways are dead,constant hard pan lies. Sad

Hot, dry, not crowded, fun. Course is not in same shape as championship qualifiers a few months ago. Still a fun venue.
