River Ridge Golf Club - The Victoria Lakes Course

I have played the Lakes course a number of times and now it seems to be in another low

The greens and Tee boxes are good but the fairways of really hard and tough to get an iron

under the grass. The worst part of the the golf course is the sand traps more like raked dirt in a hole. Sad and really bad. On one hole yesterday there was about 4 inches of water in the trap and we haven't had any rain lately !!!

I can understand why the course is wide open

and no-one is playing there. But if you want a quick round of golf that is the place to go 4 hours and done ....

I would think if the green fees were 50% of what we paid I would think that would be fair

I hope River Ridge gets their act together and gets the traps fixed before they are forced to close the course for ever!. I don't know how much they spent on the new roof for the club house but in my opinion that money would have been much better spent on the traps and then golfers would play a lot more

I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course. Had heard a few horror stories lately but the overall playability was excellent.

Well, there is no sand in the traps that I could see?

Ive been playing there 25 years. It's such a great destination. Especially in the summer,,,its 20 minutes from the heat.

I thought the course was in pretty good shape esp for the price. Tee boxes were pretty even, greens tiered, and fairways manicured. The day I went, the pins were in very difficult spots which took away from experience. Some bunkers are like hitting off concrete and club will just bounce off it. Overall, it is a good course for the deal and challenging greens.

Course conditions are improving dramatically

The bunkers all need work!

As soon as the complete that it will be a five star course.

Most people are just taking the ball out of the bunker and playing from behind the trap.

Golf now deals are awesome

There are still some sand left on the greens but playable. Overall it’s fairly great condition.

Haven’t played this course in a few years as it fell into disrepair. Was surprised at the condition now. Obviously, the rains helped but the greens were perfect…and difficult. I look forward to getting back up there!

Pacing was great. Course was in good condition overall. Some of the greens were a bit uneven and unpredictable. Bunkers are just dirt.
