Great layout

Course conditions are just average.

Bunkers need sand or maybe be roped off and call it ground u see repair.

Just a thought.

All in all my golf now hot deal makes this a great deal.

Golf now hot deal was great

The pace of play was 3 hour for the 18 holes

Course conditions were average., bunkers were poor they were raked but all need sand.

The layout is great the staff is also great.

Greens were very slow I assume they need a cut.

All in all this was a great day and great value for the hot deal price.

Unfortunately the course is in very poor condition, specially the greens

I haven’t played it in a while, but it’s no longer worth the drive or green fees.

The Lakes course is in the worst shape I have ever seen.

It seems American Golf does not maintain this course at all.

- overgrown tee boxes

- ring of dirt around every green

- sand on some greens

Management clearly does not care. And I suppose why would they when morons like myself play here.

Like always if you get a hot deal every course is almost worth playing. For this course being not too far from the ocean it is surprising that a lot of holes where it transitions from the fairway to the green is in bad condition.

The course layout is nice and challenging especially because there are place where you are dealing with with and terrain transitions. So it can be fun because it is challenging.

With all that said. Unless you get a deal the quality is not there. Because it is very obvious of the potential of the course it makes it a bit harder to deal with it’s not so great condition of the fairway green transition

Started playing golf at River Ridge golf course 30 years ago. I have played the Victoria Lakes course since it first opened, but hadn’t played in the last 2 to 3 months.. boy were we shocked when we went out to play we were surprised the parking lot wasn’t very crowded. We were going off at 12:48 in the afternoon started playing initially greens were sanded first bunker. I got into on the second hole looks like nobody had worked the bunker for months. It was hard. It was crusty it had water in it. It was muddy and that’s about how at least a third of the bunkers looked on the golf course. The ninth green had 2 to 3 inches of sand on the green was not even playable all the other greens had or sanded lightly, but then appeared to have really not been punched properly. All the fringe edges around the greens were all destroyed on every hole /fairways had bare spots all over there were green patches and bare patches everywhere. At check in in the pro shop, nobody advised us of how poor the conditions were on the course. And during 18 holes of play midday, we never saw one worker anywhere working on the golf course.. so sad this used to be one of the best golf courses in Ventura County and they’ve let it go to crap!

The course is just average in that they are not keeping it up as was in the past years.

No attention to bunkers and grass not cut very well.

Tee sheet seems to be full so there is no reason not to keep up with routine maintenance. Overall due to the hot deal price I have no complaints but paying full price my rating would be worse.

Get it together riverridge you are better than this!

3-4 ft of rot around every green on the Lakes course.

Good course fairly easy to get tee times. Often wet in the mornings but still very playable.

Course is in good shape. Some greens have a disease around the fringes. Greens are bumpy. Sand traps desperately need sand added to them.

I’ll still play there again knowing these conditions.

This course needs extreme maintenance help. The fringe around most greens is dirt. Fairways are thin and not maintained. The greens are slower than slow which makes it impossible to lag putt on these giant greens. Course layout is awesome and challenging. If they put money into the course it will be great. For now, 2 stars only because of the great layout.
