Rancho del Pueblo Golf Course

First let me state. I really don’t like this course. So my review is slightly biased. It’s not a bad course. Fairways were rather hard and greens were difficult. Only reason I play here is it is close to my neighborhood. Not to sure if I will play here anytime soon. If you want to practice your irons not a place. But I play better on longer courses.

My third round was worse then round 2. I admit I’ll never be any good. To many health issues. Hip surgery, bad back, no flexibility. But still I should be playing better then this. Too may triple and too few bogeys. I know my limitations but still third time out I should be playing better.

Another problem the staff put me with a really good player. But she had an attitude. If she didn’t make birdies she picked up and went to the next hole.

Custom clubs and lessons aren’t helping. Maybe I should just enjoy being outside, and not worry about keeping scores

The place has great par 3’s of different lengths that allows you to use your irons. Greens are nice and they really upkeep the place nicely.

Nice little 9 hole, tees boxes were shaggy but ok, fairways were easy to distinguish and greens are easily managed. This is a great short game course, I would definitely rexommend this course for either beginner or intermediate.

Much better then it was two weeks ago. Both the greens and fairways were much better shape. This time the greens were fast. After several over-putts I figured out how to play them better. Not too crowded this week. And the pace of play was good.

I’m reading some of the other reviews and I wonder if we’re talking about the same course. Today the greens were hard and approach shots would not stick and just roll off. The fairways need some TLC there are a lot of hard dirt in the middle of the fairways. I know I landed in plenty. Also pace was really slow. Shouldn’t take 2 hours to play nine holes.

I’ve played this course before Covid and don’t remember being in such bad shape.
