Bay View Golf Club

Overall, great value. Challenging course that’s in good condition and is different than typical courses in the Bay Area.

However, one major drawback was the mosquitos. Not sure if this was typical, but we got eaten alive. Teed off at 7a and the course was moist, so not sure if the issue is isolated to the morning times. However, it was brutal and really took away from the experience.

I will likely give it another shot, but will wear pants and bring bug spray.

We came professional, respectful and were treated very rudely. There was policy after policy and I was being forced to rent another set to keep pace. Even though I had two setsbin one bag, we are riding in the same cart but they were just being difficult behind those $40 they wanted to rent a set. Even though I was there saturday and that was fine. Joseph was super rude and not helpful at all. The cart girl was right on top of us looking for outside drinks even though we dont drink alcohol. Im sorry but I go golfing to have a good time and get some nice peace on the course not to try and convince someone that we are up to her “standards”.

Overall it’s a nice course with quality amenities. The carts gos suck. Always stops u even when you’re on the cart path. They’re super slow. Fairways aren’t in the greatest condition. This is a great course to play when they’re running deals.

Booked a tee time for four at Bayview and had to cancel last minute — that’s on me and my group. But instead of showing any flexibility, their operations manager Joseph (yes, the guy with the mustache and inflated ego) forced me to pay for the entire reservation. When I tried to reason with him, he was dismissive, rude, and completely inflexible.

It’s amazing how someone in such a low-level role can act like he runs Augusta. Rigid, arrogant, and clearly more focused on squeezing money than building loyal golfers. Most courses I’ve played at are reasonable — offering a credit or reschedule — but Bayview takes the opposite approach.

Great location, but terrible customer service. If you value fair treatment and professionalism, head to Cinnabar, Coyote Creek, or even the local muni courses — all of which actually appreciate their players.

Love the staff and everyone making you feel like your at home

course conditions were fine for the most part, however, there were 2 holes, 7 and 9, where about 10 kids were practicing on the green. i had to abort my approach shot and move on to another hole. i blame the group's planner/superviser--as well as course management--for this, of allowing the kids to use those greens as practice areas and interfering/impeding golfers on the course.

I know this course has had a decent amount of bad reviews, etc. but I didn't see that...brand new carts and a new tracking system at the range show some money is going in...the course is quite challenging and will easily accept golf ball 'donations' at many holes...all in all, quite challenging, pretty well maintained and overall was a good, but definitely challenging outing...go and try it....

I enjoy playing this course but you have to play early. The tee times aren’t staggered far enough and there is no official starter so it gets backed up quite early. Expect a 5-6 hr round as early as 8:30 tee times. The staff is friendly and the practice facilities are great. Tee boxes were in very rough condition.

Worst course I’ve ever played 😠so many mosquitoes and I got a few bites that are swollen and itchy within the first 2 holes. The layout is somewhat confusing.

The layout of Bay View is unique. Some say it’s quirky but I think it’s fun. Built on the side of a hill most fairways have some severe slope to them. This makes shot placement critical as something that lands in the middle of the fairway will often run off.

Conditions are pretty decent. Basically your average muni but that’s not a bad thing. Greens roll smooth at a medium pace and the fairways have good coverage for the most part. There are a number of patchy and thin areas throughout the course but nothing that effects a well placed shot. Stay in the middle and you’ll be fine. Roll to the edges and you’ll most likely hit a thin or dirt area. Unused to play here a lot more when I worked in the area, and well, I kinda miss this track!
