Nice 9 hole course
Overall nice little practice course. Driving range hit off grass or mats depends on day. Well maintained greens.
Best place to practice
Not many places allow you to hit off the grass anymore.. Tuesday through Thursday the have the grass diving range set up.. large bucket is $9 . The other really cool thing they do is, they offer FREE CLUBS for beginners, women, and children... #RESPECTESSJ
Play here
Great place to work on your short game. Very well Maintained. Fun design for a 9 hole par 3 muni. Perfect for what it is. Much better than other similar courses in the same type (public par 3 practice rounds of 9 holes).
Fun!!!
Great short 9 hole to practice the short game. Honestly the best kept short 9 hole course I’ve ever played. This place is great!
Groundskeeper Problems
On Dec. 4th. I played Rancho Del Pueblo. I have been having a problem with one of the groundskeepers. Initially he wanted to play golf. That was okay. Later he wanted to hang out with me. Not okay. He started stalking and harassing me on the course. On the 6th. hole near the groundskeepers shed, he yelled out "I hate that guy" five times. I told management about this and other problems with this individual. They did nothing. I have no problems with the other groundskeepers. For my safety and well being, I will not play here.
Groundskeeper Problem
I am having problems with one of the groundskeepers. This individual wanted to play golf and I agreed. Later he wanted to hang out, but I did not. He started harassing me and stocking me on the golf course. On December 4th. he yelled out "I hate that guy" five times. I was chipping on the 6th. hole. The groundskeepers shed was right next to hole #6 where he was at. There was no one around me the time. I complained to management. They did nothing. I have a good relationship with the other groundskeepers. For my safety and wellbeing, I will no longer play here.
Excellent
I’m a beginner and this course is perfect for me. Excellent
No goose poop
I think the course is in its best condition in years! Fairways are lush, greens were true, and hardly any goose poop!
Highly recommended for iron practice. $5 is a great deal! Golf Now service fee makes it just a deal : (
great course to practice your iron and short game
nice course to play and practice your iron shot, there's only 1 hole that is par 4 and the rest are par 3's.
fairways are playable and putting green are in great condition. They have a very good practice area for chipping and putting and convenience of having a driving range to hit your drivers.
Rancho del Pueblo, el Casa del Ganso
While geese and neighborhood cats are the only animals on this ranch, Rancho del Pueblo (or “Ranch of the Town”) does live up to its name as a local town golf course where kids, seniors, and everyone in-between can come to enjoy a leisurely round of golf. Mostly geared towards beginners, don’t expect the pace of play to be particularly speedy, or tee times to be strictly enforced. Also, know that Rancho del Pueblo is a First Tee course (a great youth program using golf to teach life skills and build character), so some holes may get reserved. The day that we went, for example, holes 1, 2, and 9 were reserved for First Tee, so they had us play 3-8 twice for a total of 12 holes (which didn’t bother us, but wasn’t indicated in advance on GolfNow). In terms of the condition of the course, overall I found the fairways, bunkers, rough, and greens to be very well maintained considering the price range. I also very much appreciated that, while there were geese everywhere, not a single dropping could be found on any of the greens. You know you’re not going to have a good round when your putts look more like pinball in an obstacle course of goose droppings...
Altogether I would recommend this course to beginners who don’t want the pace-of-play stress normally faced on the bigger or more expensive courses, or anyone who wants to focus on their short game, and see some geese along the way.
