Fun golf course
I like playing this golf course since it is challenging for me. My friend and I play this course regularly. Sometimes my brother and another friend will also join us. I found a good deal on GolfNow.com to play on the 4th of July. The course was in good condition on that day. For a holiday the pace of play was great. We did not have to wait for group’s ahead of us. The staff is great, I have never had any issues so far at Dublin Ranch GC. I recommend this course to anyone if you live within a 1/2hr drive or so.
Good place to stay sharp
I don’t always have 4-5 hours to play 18 holes. This serves as a great alternative and a great way to stay playing sharp.
Excellent place to play!
My favorite course! Shorter but challenging. Excellent value.
Well maintained golf course.
Great short course with enough challenges to keep you on your toes (elevation changes and wind). Staff are always nice.
Pace of Play
Even though we waited on several holes we were still done in 3:35. Don't let the "par 3" fool you. There are several holes that require all ya got from the driver.
Early Father’s Day Round
Fun layout that is challenging for all levels of play. The course was in average shape but the maintenance of the bunkers was not good. Clientele evidently not aware of golf etiquette of fixing ball marks, raking bunkers and fixing divits a n the course!
Dublin Ranch Hot Deal
Few players on the course because it was a hot day, 97 degrees. I played as a single riding a cart, and finished 18 holes in 2.5-3.0 hours. The greens were large with a lot of break. Yardage from the white tees were 4505; so it was a short course. I usually had a 9 or wedge into the short par fours. Six of the par 3's were 129-159 yards, so I usually had a long putt at birdie. No wind that day but it was hot. Par was 63, I shot 7 over. Needed to practice 40-70 foot putts or land closer to the pins. The course is located in a good neighborhood. It is similar to Canyon Lakes or Deer Ridge. The fairway grass was dry, but we haven't got much rain this year. Five tee boxes to choose from, so playable for all skill levels. I got a great deal on Golf now because it was a Hot Deal.
Great short course
Started the day by finding out I had scheduled my tee time for a different day. They graciously made the corrections. I was met at my car by one of the help with a golf cart. It was an early morning game and the greens were slow. Great views on almost every hole.
Dublin Ranch
I highly recommend this course. Probably one of the best maintained courses in the Tri-Valley. Sure it has a lot of par 3's but they are a challenging. A great Value for the money and can get the around in under 3 hours.
I do wish that there was a Marshal that checked on pace of play. There was a group in front of us taking two and three mulligans each and they didn’t seem to understand course courtesy.
Wind makes this an entirely different course
I've played this course several times and it's a great track. You can change things up by playing the blue's and whites which change it quite a bit. Also, if the wind is blowing, this increases the difficulty level quite a bit. Fun time regardless.
nice course to play. the challenge is many long par 3s
Can’t Beat It..
Always a fun challenging time.. Great staff from start to finish..
Sprinklers at Dublin Ranch
OK Course with fair shape and conditioning. Dublin Ranch must have all the water from the Delta, CA Aqueduct system, and all the east bay water because it’s green, mostly lush, and looks faster than it is even if dry. Very healthy.
Problem is I would not pay more than $20 at anytime considering all other choices.
The sprinklers ran the entire time I was there trying to play thru the neighborhood and kids playing thru me and the water. Is the course using re claimed water? Is so, post a sign that keeps kids under 14 away from the water and from my fairway at 5pm when they sneak out in front and slow play. Love kids and they can golf all they want with me; just not in reclaimed water or in front when they don’t belong; in this case the father was there too. Oh well.
I recommend the back nine and holes 3, 5, 9. It’s a decent mix of par 4 and par 5 with good par 3, best being 3, 11, and 15 from the back tees all well over 200 and against wind playing 230 even with downhill to back pins.
For a course with 11 par 3 and 2 par 5 it’s fair. The 5 par 4 are all similarly placed and fun. Greens on par 4 numbers 9, 10, 16 are very nice. Number 1 handicap Number 12 is overrated. Number 10 green probably best; 12 is mostly downwind downhill so lots can be deceiving.
I rate the course fair. I think they are mostly privileged to have all the water with all the recent closures. Some really good courses went down with all the water going on this executive course. I did hit every club in the bag here so would I come back? For under $20 , yes. At the rates they charge no way.
