Fun course
Great course with a good mixture of long and short holes . I will keep playing this course!
Nice little gem
Out in the middle of nowhere is he little gem of a course. Very enjoyable.
Hidden gem
Every time I play this course I like it more and more! Starting with check in, the staff is welcoming and friendly. The course is fun and challenging with left and right dogleg holes, water on a few holes, and more than enough bunkers! The greens rolled fast and true. A fun course to play that will definitely challenge you. We finished in 3 hours! We plan to play again in the next week! Keep up the good work!
Coved round on the road
Having played here several times I can tell you the course is in good shape with greens very slow but smooth. No rakes-divot mix-water on course. There was a portosan on the 6th hole.
This course is not tricked up and it shows you what you need to put the ball in play. Blue tees at 6k with some fairways rolling out.
If your looking for a round that you can make a couple of birdies and a couple of doubles come on down.
Would play again in 2 weeks- if the price comes down.
This course has a nice balance of challenging and malleable holes.
Can't believe the improvement!
I had played this course a few times a couple years ago and it was not great. The course was beat up, grass was sparse, and greens were patchy....But WOW, I can't believe the turn around.
Maybe it was Coronavirus that kept people away that allowed the course to re-group, but it is in phenomenal shape. Grass was freshly cut, greens were full an manicured (soft, but smooth). The golf carts were very nice and newer.
This place has done a complete turnaround. I highly recommend this place for the price! It is an easy layout (wide open all over the place, but there is enough bunkering and elevation to keep it challenging.
I would definitely play again.
Enjoyable setting for a round of golf.
The course is in very good shape. Now is the time of year to get out and enjoy River Oaks Golf Club.
Great conditions
My first time out there, but the course was in great condition. I really liked it overall. Everything was green and lush. I enjoyed the peaceful environment as there is not much going on in the surrounding area. On the front nine, the course seemed really open and exposed and a bit monotonous (I guess that’s orchard golf). Holes 12, 15 and 16 were great. All Tee boxes were nice, flat and consistent. My only knock was that greens were relatively unchallenging and more on the basic side.
Great Course, Little Frustration
Had a foursome scheduled at 9 am. Get there at 830 and arrive at 1st hole at 9 am. Marshall tells us he let another foursome play in front, okay no big deal. Then a 2 some arrive behind us that stated they missed they’re tee time at 820am. Marshall allows them to sneak in behind us in front of the next group. So while my group was waiting for the group ahead of us that played early we had 2 hitting into us that missed their tee time by almost an HOUR. not cool. Ended up letting the 2 play through us but a little frustrated for 40$ when I can play turkey creek for 45$.
Always a fun time
Can’t wait for spring. Course is in good shape but aprons need some fresh grass. Should fill in as the weather improves.
