About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Maintain bunkers please
They don’t keep up bunkers at all. Very slow pace of play.
Not worth it.
Go somewhere else. This place should not be charging more than 35 dollars a round. Course is in terrible condition. Who on earth is giving this place a 5 star review?
Greens in bad shape
Greens are being cured from Nematodes They are in terrible condition Patchwork and dirt spots. They have a long way to go to fix them. Unless the price is next to nothing, go somewhere else.
STAY AWAY!
Terrible greens....balls bounce and hop due to all the holes and dirt patches, STAY AWAY!

Rough conditions
I use to play this course back in the day and it was always well maintained and in great shape, Today i played a round here and how things changed there. The course was in rough shape some greens you could not put on due to patches and dry spots. Staff was great and friendly they even offered a discount. Sorry to say but until this course returns to its old ways i will not be playing there anymore.

Course conditions unplayable
I reached out to the course mgmt back in June regarding my displeasure at greens conditions AND the overall value of the course given current conditions.
I received the following reply from the course director:
"Over the last couple weeks our team has been focused on the condition of greens at Yucaipa Valley and have swiftly addressed the issue. We have discovered our greens were plagued by a very rare west coast organism called Nematodes..."
It went on in some detail regarding how that had affected the grounds and what they are doing about the problem, though never did address my overall value question.
As I stated, my initial email was in June. As of my next visit in late July, no change. According to other reviews as recent as 9/4/2020 course conditions are still the same.
This used to be one of my favorite courses for the money in the area. Back when there was only a trailer clubhouse the course was immaculate. It seems their bar and grill clubhouse have become much more important than the actual golf course that surrounds them. Just one man's humble opinion.

Our number one focus has been the golf course and it will continue to be. We have also been working on our food and beverage offerings to better fit the needs of all golfers to enhance the total golf experience when at Yucaipa Valley.
Course in poor condition
Payed the course Saturday afternoon. The staff was very friendly but the course was in horrible condition. I’ve played this course several times over the years and have never seen such an overall lack of course maintenance

The fairways were ok and the layout is nice but the greens were "HORRIBLE" . Some of the greens were like thick carpet and all the others had patches and holes all over.

Slow greens
The course layout is nice, fairly straightforward. The greens are long and very slow. Hole 2 or 3 the hole and green are just all of a sudden in the fairway. Staff doesn’t wear masks.

Great fairways, horrendous putting greens
No warning prior to booking. Greens are absolutely horrible making it near impossible to 1 putt. Most greens have huge areas with no grass at all, some had chunks cut out. And one hole had a large puddle only 3 feet from the pin making. Will not be playing here again.

Rough Greens
The greens were rough today. Overall a great day to play golf.

The greens are in terrible condition. Very patchy and bumpy

Horrible Greens
Greens were unplayable. They should close the place and do a proper repair. Just horrendous to think they charge people 50+ to play this course. Easily one of the worst kept courses I’ve played.

Greens Need to be Fixed
If they fixed the green and cleaned up fairway a little the course would be fine.

Lack of information
Unfortunately I don’t recall any information on Golfnow about Yucaipa punching the greens. I think if I would have I would have made other teetimes at another course. If I missed it on the review my bad. The pro shop did give us $10 off the fees and a $10 certificate for a later play. But the greens were awful just really unplayable. Not what I normally expected From this course that I’ve played many times.

your greens
Your greens were un puttable I understand that you have had a fungus that was attacking your greens but to charge full rate and not put that on your web site was wrong. I was bringing a friend that hadn't played there and he wasn;'t happy with me or you. I dont know if I will come back
