About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Much improved!
This course is a great layout, with beautiful views. While it did go downhill a couple years ago, current ownership is working very hard, and it has really improved! The fairways are once again lush. Unfortunately, several of the typically pristine, large challenging greens incurred a bout of something, which caused a lot of dead spots, but the crew has been working hard on all aspects, and I can say as a member, I am very, very excited about the current conditions, and even more excited about the prospects for the near future, as it is better each week! Thank you for the hard work to get this beautiful course back to what we are used to!

Good Value
We play this course at least 3 times a month and always find things we like and things that could be improved. We are most happy to have a full size course at a very good price still open in the inland empire. Course is being worked on all the time, we even saw grass seed being spread during our round today and several of the sand traps have been returned to playable the last couple months....still have to call it very good for the price period.

Bummer
Used to love this course. Haven’t played it in about 2 years or so. The positive is the fairly new clubhouse & the staff was kind. But other than that, I Can’t believe how downhill this course went. Range balls were some of the worst (if not the worst) I’ve seen. Half of the greens were patched together & unplayable. Some of the drives that we hit were great drives almost down the middle but we couldn’t find them due to weeds and thick, tall grass. My friend & I just kept laughing at a once beautiful golf course has turned so bad. I really hope they turn it around or I don’t see how they’ll stick around for the long haul.

Course was in good shape minus a couple fairways that are being worked on and also greens but overall took our time and got done in 3:5 hours

Don't waste your time and money!
Course condition and maintenance is as bad as I have seen at any course that is actually open!
You would think that after investing in sod replacement to replace the several damaged areas of the greens; they would at least care for those areas? Not so, the sodded areas are dried out, curling around the edges and have gaps between the pieces! A little bit of sand and water maybe?
I could go on about the lack of maintenance from the 1st tee to the 18th green but I would only be repeating what has been stated in recent posts.
I truly hope that this course can be salvaged, but for now, it's at the top of my "Do Not Play List"

Worst Experience Ever
The employee at the desk mentioned the greens and fairways were in bad shape and they are scheduled to be aerated next week. I was fine with that, when i got on the course it was beyond awful, the fairways were thick and clumpy and the greens had horrible patch jobs all over them. It was a busy day and the people who play this course are by far the rudest people I have ever met!!! I have never seen a group of people who think they are professional players and lack common sense, I am highly dissatisfied with this course and the golfers who play here, I will never be back here again and I HIGHLY recommend finding a course to play elsewhere.

BUYER BEWARE
If I could give no stars I would. This course has really gone downhill since the last time I played here. First of all the greens were terrible. On multiple holes, the green was patched together a quilt. There was also what appeared to be some sort of fungus growing on and around the green. Secondly, the course maintenance was atrocious. Ridiculously long grass on almost every hole, coupled with areas that were overwatered and flooded. I understand trying to keep the course wet due to the heat, but this was just dumb. It's interesting to see recent reviews on this course saying its in great condition (Seems fishy). Our group had some some nice tee shots down the middle of the fairway that would get caught up in a patch of grass the landscape maintenance guys missed. If you were a foot off the fairway, good luck finding your ball. In summary, today sucked...I would love to get my money back. This course takes the fun out of golf.

Terrible Conditions
I'm very disappointed with Yucaipa Valley golf course I have played there about a year ago and it was very nice. But today I consider it the Worst course I have ever played.
Most of the greens are in terrible shape, holes mismatched grass, diseased. Not just one hole but over half of them.
The grass next to the fairway are long and uncut. Weeds growing in the middle of the fairway. Muddy conditions are the greens. (It hasn't rained in weeks.)
Tee boxes are uneven, weeds growing, and over all in poor conditions. Sand traps have rocks in them.
There is no excuse for these conditions, it just is very poor maintenance. I think management is clueless or doesn't care.
Don't golf there with so many other courses, we will never forget the conditions and never go back.

Fun and forgiving
The course is a lot of fun and very forgiving. Staff is friendly and food and drinks are good.
Grass was to tall and hard to find my ball even if landed on fairway due to high grass. Greens were also bumpy and people don’t fix divots which drives me crazy. However great place to play and relax.
