About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Golfer Reviews
Just punched the greens.
Course was good except that the greens were just punched and there was more sand on the greens then in the sand traps. What happened on 18? Maybe u should get that fixed.
Fun Round
Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest and the course was wet from the rain they had the night before, we enjoyed our round. Course is in not bad shape for this time of year. Looks like they are making some improvements to the course. Friendly staff and great value for the money. Would golf there again.
Great golf
Very reasonable rates, course is in very good condition. Excellent staff all the way around. Very good golf for anyone in the Inland Empire.
houses make it harder
Without houses this would be an easy course for me (15 handicap) but they are there so course a bit more of a challenge for me. Layout is straight forward with few holes you cannot see green from tee (18 the biggest dogleg right) Greens are starting to slow a little after the rain, a little longer and some rolling and they will be very playable again (after two months of slippery fast) Will not beat the course for the weekday green fees now with only one other lower price within 20 miles....come out and play we need to keep the course open, it is well worth the price if a bit slow sometimes.....
Water makes the grass grow and green.
The greens and new sand bunkers are good, the tee boxes and fairways are as bad, dry, and unplayable as I have ever seen them!! I would not recommend this course to anyone in its present condition.
We were surprised at how good it is! Especially since we received the hottest deal! Water this time of year with little rain caused fairways to be dry and the ball to roll a long way.
Nice course
Good track, nice layout. Conditions were normal for winter, sparse green grass with bare spots on fairways. Greens are great, very fast and sloped. Evil greenskeeper as far as pin placement. 3' putt with 12" break? Very challenging
Poor comunications
I have not played this course in years. Remodeled club house and procedures. At checking in, the attendant did not give me a cart key. After loading up I realized I needed the key and went back in and made request to same attendant, who the just walked away. Requested and received the key from someone else. The course has a lot of burned areas on the fairways. A good drive down the center may put you in compacted dirt. Greens are very hard and fast. They do not hold an approach shot. A well placed shot within 10' of the pin, may end up with a 50' putt. One approach of mine hit within 4' of the pin and ended up with a 30' uphill putt that hesitated at the hole before taking off on a slow roll and then gaining speed and ending with a 60' second putt. I three putted most greens which is a new experience for me.
Fun course good greens
Tough greens fast it was dry and they were doing some work on the course. Men's league teed off after I went out and didn't hit a snag till 17 tee. Overall good course management with all the groups that there that day they didn't have a single cart left and pace of play wasn't terrible. Shot an 89 my lowest score ever so I had a blast
Nice course, good views and layout
I really enjoyed the layout of the course. The greens were EXTREMELY tough to putt, you touch the ball and it travels 20 feet. I don't like PGA style greens as an amateur golfer. The staff were nice enough and the free hotdog was really good. While I was checking in, one staff member walked up to the staff member assisting me and starting to talk to him then asked him to ring up a chocolate bar. All while I was trying to be helped. I thought that a little rude but it really didn't affect me or my attitude of the course. It was slow, but it was also a busy course. The amount of people playing shows the calibre of the course.
Damaged course
I have played this course periodically and not always the best with the staff. However, this time, there is no notice on GolfNow or when you arrive about the damaged 18th hole. The hole is partially closed and who knows for how long. But this was not fun when you finally reach the 18th tee box and see the flag out about 130 yds. The green is not a real green but fairway green, so forget putting on it. It would be appropriate to notify your customers so they can make the choice to play or not to play. It's always something with the course. Last year I stayed away due one issue after another (not enough carts, 90 minute delay in teeing off, rude staff). If all courses have 18 holes, and I want to spend my money what are you as a course going to convince me to return and spend my money. Think about it.
No wind on a windy day
I'm not a fan of wind, its great for kites, hot days, pinwheels, but not golf balls. The location of Yucaipa cuts out the wind it's awesome! Course was in good condition with a couple exceptions. Greens were super potted with pitch marks that no one fixes. 18 was almost all under repair, helped me when I went into it but, cuts out the chance to go for it. Overall great round, special thank you to the guys in the men's club that let us out before them since we got stuck in traffic from the SIGalert on the 10!
Average
Fairway in poor shape with lots of bare spots and rough spots.....have to move ball before hitting
Greens in decent condition
Needs a lot of improvement
Good value for the money
Course was in just okay shape. The greens were in pretty good condition but the areas around the greens, in particular, were pretty rough with large dead spots and crab grass. Several of the tee boxes were in pretty rough shape.
The fairways were pretty good and pace of play was good. No cart girl was a bummer.
Get what you pay for
This course used to be in good condition. Not anymore. They finally invested in a clubhouse but they totally let go of the course. Fairways were in horrible condition. Lots of dirt patches. Greens were just ok. Inconsistent greens.
