Yucaipa Valley Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Unkept course
Visiting the area, so booked on Golf Now. Greens were bumpy, ball marks not fixed, unfilled divots throughout the fairways, and rocks bigger than a golf ball in the "sand traps". Won't play again if in the area.
After work outing
I just wanted to get out after work early on a Wednesday. Play was good, but wished I could have played by myself and scooted through a little faster. Oh well. Going back today.
Go early
It shouldn't take 5 hours to play a round of golf, period! We started at 12:15 and only got 16 holes in. Yes the course is nice, the greens fair, but they always seem to pack way too many drunk, weed smoking idiots on the course and with no course Marshall, it's just too much!
Great experience
First time but won't be the last. Even though the course was busy pace of play was very good we moved right along. Greens were in good condition and plenty of challenging holes at my level.
New Management
Course and greens finally in really good shape!! Food and bar is great. We enjoyed playing golf and the 19th hole was excellent!!!
Nice place to take a friend
With the courses falling apart around here this one is not, the greens a huge for me and in great shape. the pace of play was perfect and the staff was top notch
I will be joining the men's club next year
Fun Course!
My husband and I have played this course more times than any other. It's almost perfect for our level of play. The only thing that we do not care for is the time we have to wait before teeing off at each hole. Last week wasn't bad at all, but this week (although not the worst experience) was slow. We could see 2 different groups in play at each hole. The back 9 was the worst. It's almost impossible to see what the hold up is, so using a starter may help to eliminate the problem. Other than that, the course is fun and pleasant to play.
Great course
Really nice place to play
Nice Saturday of golf
Enjoyed the course and the staff. Fairways and Greens were in good shape. Most definitely stay in the fairway. Rough was deep and sticky.
nice
This iisca great place to play.
Poor Staff
The course was in better condition then I have seen it in years. Lots of watering even though there is still a drought. The pace of play was great we finished in 3 hours 40 minutes. Yet even with this time the Marshall stated that people were complaining about slow play and asked us to speed up during the round. I asked the Marshall if there were any groups finishing ahead of the other groups which he said there were. However, when I checked I found that he had lied. Not sure why he did this and why he was pushing groups that had some seniors in them that were obviously moving fast for being near 90. All groups finished in under 3 hours 50 minutes. They should enforce pace of play and if the groups are on time then faster golfers need to learn to slow down. After all they can not just barrel through 10 groups ahead of them. Learn to enjoy a quick round even if you want to be first.
Great escape from the desert floor courses.
The staff was great, as well as the course and the temperature. The only problem was the slow play. I never saw more than a three some, but it still took over "5" Hours to play 18 Holes (no marshal).
Good for the price
Great value for the price
nice public course for a good price
I just took up the game again after a 5 year layoff due to multiple surgeries. This course is fun and this is the second time I played as a single. Both times I have been matched up with nice people and had a solid fun day.
Slow play - over booked
Most greens were in good shape and they would have been better if people would fix their ball marks. The fairways were dry and poorly maintained but I heard there had been a shortage of water. This appears to be a "beginners" course as few golfers took the time to repair ball marks or rake traps., The tee boxes were poorly maintained as there were broken tees everywhere. The pace of play was extremely slow. We started 30 minutes late and it too us 6 hours to finish. I would attribute most of my complaints to poor management.
Good Deal on Great Golf
Yucaipa Golf course is always a good place to play. The starter was a little rude but you don't have continual contact so he doesn't matter. The course is always challenging and the greens are in good shape. My only issue would be pace of play. Started at 1130, finished at 4:45. You can never really develop a rhythm, none the less, it was still fun golf. I'd highly recommend playing this course, when its not so populated.
Beautiful condition
Past pace lovely greens and no wind whatsoever.
The main "issue" with this course is a pace of play that usually runs in the 5 hour range. So I understand the marshal trying to speed play along.
