About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Golfer Reviews
Start after 11:30
Made the mistake of playing Wednesday at 11:00...first 9 holes played very fast, but at turn ran into Wednesdays men's club, two foursomes on tee box, had to follow them for 4 holes till they finished, I know they started at 8;00 and they pulled off just before 1 ?. Course is worth playing just wait till 11:30 or later on Wednesdays as men's club is full of guys that think they are pros and need to read putts from all angles and stand around and watch each other play....
Slow play
People don’t know how to play golf fast. They need Marshall’s out on the course to keep people moving.
This course is in poor shape
This course is in poor shape, bunkers have piles of new sand it’s been there for months a lot of bare spots, they over water in some spots.
Super cool
I'm coming out of Palm Springs where the temperature is beginning to break the 100° mark the weather in Yucaipa is amazing. The course is in good conditions, pace of play was great on the front 9, the back 9 turned into an LA freeway the course could use a Marshall.
Very nice track
Very good price. The course is in best shape I've ever seen it in. Pace of play was great, not over booked at all.
Loosing the fairways
Two months ago this course was in excellent condition. They lost part of the 18th in January during heavy rains. Since then nothing has been done to repair the last 130 yards before the green Other fairways are showing large burn spots or balding areas . Inevitably a good drive will put you in one of these areas.
Love this place
Yucaipa Valley is a course with nice views of the mountains. Great greens. The fairways tend to have some rough spots and there are some dead spots around the greens here and there but for the price, it is very playable. It is often much less windy than courses nearby.
Pathetic
Pace of play is pathetic here. No starter. Everyone can tee off once they check in even though they have later tee times. A lot of hackers here. This course has always been known to over book this course. Staff didn’t even tell anyone a high school tournament was starting later in the day and didn’t block out times to compensate for tourney. Never again
No marshal or starter = 5 hour round
This course accepts anyone anytime with no regard to pace of play
Always a good time here
Played this course several times, one of my favorites in the area. Lots of cancellations due to rain coming in, and we got a little wet on our trip. We flat out flew through the first half, got stuck behind a group of 5 and a group of 4 infront of them. We were a twosome so pace of play slowed significantly. Can't say anything bad about the greens, they were in great shape and easy to read. Some of the tee boxes lack a bit of grass which affects me as I don't use a tee off the boxes, even with driver. I came out birdie, double, birdie so I was off to a great start, but the slow pace ruined my back nine. Other than that we had a great time. I'll always come back, atleast 4-6 times a year.
Value
Nice coarse for those who can't afford those high price coarses.
Course not what it used to be
Started off on a bad note when the ball machine for the driving range was not working. I realize we’re in a drought, but much of the course is deadpan. Was not told about the humongous area of ground under repair across the #18 fairway. Rather than putting money into things such as pool tables, how about spending some money to make the course conditions better.
Back
Needs a lot of work again! The course is going backwards!
Punched Greens
Discounted round b/c the greens were punched. However, the course other than the greens was in great shape. The course was packed, but we still managed to complete the round. I'll be back once the greens get better in a week or two.
Disappointing
Greens really poor. This course has seen better days . It needs a lot of tender care to get it back otherwise I would bet it closes in a couple of years
Worst place
Every single aspect of my Yucaipa Valley experience was so bad that I will never go back. I have played there 100's of times over the last 10 years and have watched it get worse and worse. Now they are so bad I'm done playing there. Save yourself a big bundle of money and 5 1/2 hours you'll never get back. Go to the dentist for a root canal and have a much better time.
Is the Course on the way out? Rumors course will be closing within the year??
