About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Golfer Reviews
Great escape from the desert floor courses.
The staff was great, as well as the course and the temperature. The only problem was the slow play. I never saw more than a three some, but it still took over "5" Hours to play 18 Holes (no marshal).
Good for the price
Great value for the price
nice public course for a good price
I just took up the game again after a 5 year layoff due to multiple surgeries. This course is fun and this is the second time I played as a single. Both times I have been matched up with nice people and had a solid fun day.
Slow play - over booked
Most greens were in good shape and they would have been better if people would fix their ball marks. The fairways were dry and poorly maintained but I heard there had been a shortage of water. This appears to be a "beginners" course as few golfers took the time to repair ball marks or rake traps., The tee boxes were poorly maintained as there were broken tees everywhere. The pace of play was extremely slow. We started 30 minutes late and it too us 6 hours to finish. I would attribute most of my complaints to poor management.
Good Deal on Great Golf
Yucaipa Golf course is always a good place to play. The starter was a little rude but you don't have continual contact so he doesn't matter. The course is always challenging and the greens are in good shape. My only issue would be pace of play. Started at 1130, finished at 4:45. You can never really develop a rhythm, none the less, it was still fun golf. I'd highly recommend playing this course, when its not so populated.
Not a fun day!
We were told to start on the back nine since they were aerating the greens on the front nine. When we made the turn to the front nine, we saw three groups ahead of us. At that time, the back nine was closed and they were starting newcomers on the 1st tee. So we had to wait about 30 minutes for our turn which kinda sucks. Fairways & bunkers needed attention, otherwise the course layout is great.
36 holes on a Saturday!
Brother and I Tee'd off at 0750 and felt as though we were the only group on the course. It was a quiet and pleasurable round. To top it off, after our morning round, we decided to replay. It was somewhat slower in the early afternoon. So much so, by the 4th hole the twosome in front of us invited my brother and I to join them as neither group was going anywhere fast. The two retired gentlemen, Mike and Willy set the tone of the 2nd round immediately by crushing both tee shots down the center of the par 4 dogleg right fairway. Based on company, course and a well played 2nd round by all, this was by far one of my top 3 rounds of golf in my life. Best 36 hole day Ever! Thank you Yucaipa Valley Golf Club, see you soon!
Good value
Nice course for the cost, was fairly priced. The pace of play on weekends was a bit slow , a marshall to speed up play would help. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall golfing was a pleasant experience.
nice round
Course was in good shape, but greens were not cut and were on the slow side. Issues with way holes were cut. As ball got near hole it would peel off at 90 degree angle. Cups were raised and never leveled off
A Good Value for Under $50
No, this isn't a 5-star course - but for under $50 it is a decent value. The greens were in very good shape. They held approach shots very well, and were still relatively quick - especially when you get above the hole. The tees and some fairways were a bit sparse, but it is January, and the Bermuda is dormant (this course does not over-seed in the winter). The traps were in decent condition. They were very wet, but it had rained recently, and it was early in the morning. I like the layout of the course - very traditional. What you see is what you get. No blind shots. Overall, a pleasant golf outing in Yucaipa.
Good course
Overall great course God layout good conditions great staff
Great Course...
1st time playing at Yuciapa. Staff were exceptional...course was great. A little backed up but overall great golf experience. We will definitely play there again!!
Very Slow.. No Marshals!
Pace of play is painfully slow, with no marshals. Have played several rounds here in which I finally just gave up and drove in. Greens keepers place flags on tier transition slopes where a ball cannot come to rest. (Big no no) When I mentioned it to the staff, they claimed that the greens keeper had to put the holes there because people don't fix their ball marks. Next time I went out and checked there was plenty of areas on the greens where a reasonable hole could be cut.
Nice Day
First group scheduled out.......course has a nice layout, hope that it can stay nice or nicer than it currently is. 1st hole is irritating being that close to the driving range, but that's about the only down side to playing......my buddy who I regularly play with weekly got sick at the last minute i found later and had stood me up and playing as a single wasn't as bad as i figured, but it was a nice start of a long cold day......enjoyed the par 3's a lot......nice twist....
VERY POOR CONDITION
i LIVE IN THE AREA AND HAVE PLAYED THIS COURSE SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE YEARS. I WAS DISMAYED TO SEE HOW RUN DOWN THE COURSE HAS BECOME.BONE DRY AND UNKEPT. LOOKS LIKE THEY COULD USE A NEW GREENSKEEPER. OR IF THEY HAVE ONE AT ALL. NO SAND IN THE BUNKERS. NOTHING BUT HARDPAN.
Good value
New club house. The putting green and driving range was nice. The course is a bit challenging with undulating fairways and greens that were smooth and fast.
The course was in pretty good shape for early December. I paid $28 on golf now. It was worth the price
