About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Golfer Reviews
Mean Greens
1st time playing the course, had a great time. Beautiful views from different holes if you take the time to look around. Greens were super fast even with a early tee time, with a ton of breaks in them. Cool water hazards that make you think twice. Bunkers in the right spots, played out of them a couple times, but sand quality isnt the best, fortunately it helped the ball sit up. Some bare patches in some spots on the fairway but nothing too terrible. Lots of cart paths to help those mis-shots go further! Overall had a great time, oh and spicy bloody mary's made by Ray!
Great Time, Great Weather
Had a great time, but didn't play well. My friend suggested the course and he said it was a fun place to play. He was right. I had a tough time with the rough, but was very challenging. The Greens, and fairways were fabulous, but the pace was slow. We had a foursome ahead of us and they took a long time at each hole. I think they were playing a skins game because it looked like they were exchanging money on the green. I would suggest exchange it at the next hole, it slows the pace down considerably. We even skipped a hole because they were so slow.
Nice course
For the money, this is a nice course. Pace was a little slow, but most allowed us to play through. Would definitely play here again.
Average
I enjoyed the course but there were a few things I didn't like. The front nine moved under 2 hours but we had to wait on the back nine, so a 4-3/4 hour round. I found very little sand on the course for filling divots. The rough was overgrown and hard to find balls. The course needed weed abatement. The carts were old and slow. Other then that, it was fun. J
I Don't Understand The Hype
I wanted to play Oak Valley, but they were over seeding at the time. I hadn't played here before, but it had been recommended by a couple people I know as well as had good reviews online. I stopped here to play 18 on my way out to Palm Springs. I guess since its the only track in the area thats worth anything people have a high opinion of it? If this is your local course, great. Its a decent course. I wouldn't be complaining too much either if it were mine. Just as a traveling golfer it definitely did not live up to the hype. Lots of brown patches. And I get it, we're in a drought & it's been very hot, but some of them don't seem to make sense. In front of the greens there's dead patches? Maybe I'm being overly picky, but I wasn't impressed. The course seemed similar to Sierra Lakes in Fontana, only Sierra Lakes is a much better course. I can't say I would make the drive out there again just to play the course. Maybe if a group wanted to go I would.
Slow play
This is the first time I have played this course in a few years. While the course conditions have improved, there are still areas where the grass coverage is subpar. The pace of play is very slow. My four some got stuck behind a two some and a single that caused us to have a 5.5 hour round.
One of the worst kept Field
The driving range is alright, I mean their mats are intact, and the staff is friendly.
But my rating is mostly about the field. The greens have grass that is long enough to have foot prints, lots of dents, even have balls left over from people practicing or something, i found about 7 range balls on the first hole's greens at around 4pm when I was playing. No marshall to check these out, I never really see any maintenance out in the field.
The putting greens are prettttttyyy horrible.
The grass on the fairway is pretty horrible too.
They have people playing football in the fairway even in blind spots, I almost hit a child playing with their parents because I couldn't see them in the corner of the fairway. I felt horrible for the parents, and I apologized. If you are going to have people playing football they need to have marshals on the course regulating this, because most of the "FOOT GOLF" players do not know the rules or know about the cautionary regulations for playing on a golf course. very dangerous.
Jeff's Yucaipa Valley Review
Course was in very good shape especially considering the drought. Recycled water makes a huge difference. A few patchy spots, but not bad at all. Greens were very good. Excellent practice facility and the new clubhouse and restaurant is awesome. The staff was also incredibly friendly. A little off the beaten path, but worth the drive.
Want to play it again
I loved the greens, I could hit a high shot into the greens and the ball would stop and not fly off the greens. They were somewhat slow, maybe running at an 8.
The sand traps are in need of sand, more sand less rock. The fairways were in great shape hit your ball in it and it would run.
The staff was friendly.
Now for my negative remark, it took over 30 minutes for our 2 sandwiches to be served which put us behind in our pace of play.
Thank you for playing at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club and for your review. We are very excited to announce that we will NOT be executing a greens aerification this fall! As a result, you can expect the same great greens conditions throughout the remainder of 2015! Thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you out at the course again soon!
A good play
The course has a good layout. Holes are fair and challenging. No blind shots. Greens are kept well, just slower than usual. In spite of drought, it's still in ok condition. I just feel sorry about the houses in the perimeter as they are in the line of fire of errant tee shots. The club has a nice atmosphere and good facilities.
Pace of play was great despite of a packed morning.
Challenging, but fun.
This course is very challenging. Some fairways are narrow, with most having sand traps right around where the average golfer will hit thier drive. So you had to try extra hard to hit your ball straight. Greens were tricky to read. The club house and lounge area are extremely nice with real friendly staff.
Looking forward to return.
The course condition was good
The course condition was good, price was reasonable, enjoyed the gameeeeeeeee..
"Great course for the price"
Played on a thursday no waiting on tee boxes. Fairways need repairs water damage to certain areas along greens. Food was awesome recommend club Sandwich chef brought out our food very professional. Greens playing nicely, but overall course was in good shape.
Great value for the money
Probably one of the better Inland Empire courses that you can play before 11 am, for under $25. The greens were in good shape although a bit too "spongy" to consistently gauge putt speed. Fairways and tee boxes could use some repair work and the bunkers could really use some sand, as a couple of bunkers were similar to hitting off of the cart path. The aforementioned improvements would add a much greater appeal to this track. Overall, not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon...
Great course!
Great course despite the lady at the register. Not sure what her name was but it was early morning around 10am Friday 5/19. I'm not the type of guy to bash anyone on the internet that's not the way I conduct business but she will be the first to write about. She was very rude no greeting what so ever! When I purchased my round of golf she didn't give me the keys for our cart and when I asked her she gave me an attitude. Granite my experience with her won't let it effect any of the other employees. I've been a loyal customer there and will continue to do so.
Great value, fun course
Played Yuccpia Valley for the first time, which will not be my last. Course was fun, played fast, and was a pleasure. Played from the black tees, which allowed the course to offer a challenge on each of the holes. Fairways were a little bare in a few places, but overall no serious problems. The sand traps could use a little more sand, as they are a bit hard. However, I had a great time, as the round moved quickly for 14 of the 18 holes, and course required accuracy to avoid sand on nearly every hole.
Thank you for your commentary and feedback. We continue to look for ways to improve your golfing experience and appreciate the great feedback you have provided. We look forward to seeing you out at the course again in the very near future!
yucaipa valley
enjoyed the round, it was a good golf experience, will be back to play again
Needs some improvements
The snack bar is slow because the person also has to check in the golfers for their tee times. You hit the ball in the fairway and your penalized with thin grass and hard pan.
Thank you for your great comments! Yucaipa Valley GC is committed to creating a fun and enjoyable experience through great playing conditions, attentive service, and accommodating atmosphere. It`s a great place to hang out and we look forward to hosting you again in the near future! See you on the course!
