Mount Dora Golf Club
About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Laid Back
No frills golf course. Staff were awesome. Very laid back atmosphere. Course conditions were great. Greens rolled very good. Will be back.
Great course, great value. Very slow
The course is in great shape and it is a fun track to play. But when I play here I don’t ever plan on it being a quick or fast round. A lot of waiting to hit your next shot
Mount Dora Golf
The Staff was very friendly! The course is an "old school course" (small greens, tight fairways) that we found very challenging due to small, raised and tilted greens.
Thank you for a great day!
Always a great time!
Challenging course with tight layout and elevation changes on certain holes. Reminds me of courses I grew up
playing in the foothills of the Carolinas and always love the staff interactions. A truly humble bunch who takes the time to make sure your experience is good. I drive an hour to play this course and would recommend to any one I know.
Always a great time!!
Three of us play regularly and enjoy the course and each other!! Our finishing cocktail at the 19 th hole completes a great day of golf and friendship!
Appreciate the history
This course was built by servicemen after they came back from the war. The land was given on a 100 year lease for a $1. How patriotic! If you like a course where the holes go back and forth against one another, this is your course. Just pray everybody else can hit 'em as straight as you. Otherwise it's a very dangerous layout. .I liked the length of the holes and the hills on some of them. For the size of the greens (small), I did not appreciate several of them being domed. Hard to keep your ball on the green either on the approach shot or during putting. Liked the history, didn't care for the course.
My. Dora Golf Club
First time this season here. Pace was faster than last year which was good. Fairways and greens were painted green which was kinda weird. We’ve been there before and knew that some of the greens were crowned but on 17 it was ridiculous. Below the pin- rolled back of the green. Above- if you putted two inches past the flag, it rolled back off the front again. Just golfing for fun but that was a real negative.
