About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

My favorite
Even though Mt. Dora is a little drive away, it’s my favorite for the price and course old school feel, with uphill and interesting par 5’s. Not the most difficult course but it has its personality. Greens are usually very nice!
Mt. Dora
Extremely Dry along with Pace of play slow. Left after 12 holes
Much improved
The course is in much better shape compared to 6 weeks ago. Greens are excellent, fairways much better, a few bare spots that are under repair. Tee boxes much better. Overall, a very good course and fun to play.
Pertect Saturday
Club house could use a little upgrade, but it was nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. The course was is very good shape, greens fast and true. Very few place in the fairways with bad grass. New golf carts was nice. Will play here again for sure.

Great Course
This is a great course, however, the fairways could use some work.
Slooooooow
Greens are much improved over last month but were recently sliced which made putting in a straight line impossible. Biggest problem is the leagues slow play first thing in morn and never letting you play through. It's too hot to take over 2hrs to play nine. This second time in a row I gave up after nine. Will not be back.
3rd time dissatisfied
Booked early tee time because of the heat. I like the course layout, however the tee boxes are atrocious. There was a mens group playing ahead of my tee time. They were super slow and no ranger sitedon course to keep pace in check. Waited every hole and on back nine this very slow group had fallen 2 holes behind. You would think the proper golf etiquette would be to let a single play thru. no! The lack of golf course management by the golf course left me very disappointed.
Great Old Course
An old course, but fun to play. A fair test for all skill levels.
Really enjoyed the course, it is very challenging. The staff was outstanding. Will be back again.

41-35; 76! Cold Beer!
It was alright
I would say this is a good value for the money. They layout is nice. I prefer the back nine. The conditions were OK. It was OK all around. The staff were great.
Weird greens
They had aerated the greens a while ago, but I’ve now gone a couple weeks later today and the greens had this weird green texture to it so there was like lines across the entire green, which made it bounce and break wierd
The layout of the course was absolutely stunning. Par 4 and par 5 definitely a longer course than most, which makes it that much better! Overall just great, the only CON I have to say, nothing was mowed. The teeboxes were long and the rough was exaggerated long. You weren’t finding any ball if you went in there. It looked like they were fixing the greens too but they weren’t horrible.
Wonderful historic course
Great staff and excellently maintained. Greens were very good. Two very memorable holes that I will look forward to another chance at very soon!
