About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Nice course
Greens are in great shape and they actually maintain their bunkers.
Better Soon ??
The course is in pretty good condition considering the time of year. The greens are nice and the ball rolls well on them. A little fast which is good. The fairways need to grow so you get a nicer lie.
Teal bend
Course was in great shape. Greens were rolling perfect. Course was nice and dry.
Course in excellent condition after all recent rain
The staff are generally friendly and inviting. I real like the course layout. Each hole is interesting. For a busy day the pace of play was very good. Slowed down on a few hole, but not too long. Enough time to allow the group ahead to hit their second shot. The course was surprisingly dry, which was a good thing for the area. Many of the other courses are a mud pit.
Mosquito day!
Well as always Teal Bend is a fun track, mosquitoes exceptionally bad today … wow standing on the 18th tee there was literally no exaggeration there was a mosquito for every 2-3 ft up and down! I teed off at 11:10, th group in front of us was not only terrible players which honestly I don't care but dang the loud obnoxious language, waiting on every tee box until the next group was on the tee???? Theybsaidbthr group in front of them were “walkers” and it slow!!! No it was them and the marshall would not speak to them in fear… these guys were your absolute nightmare of a group. In the last part three there were two groups waiting. I stood in th 18th fairway being eaten alive for wait for it…. 16 minutes!!!!!! Indont know wtf they were doing but…..oh well
In good shape
For the amount of rain we received early this week the course was in good shape. Some muddy areas but very playable otherwise. 👍🏻👍🏻 to the course superintendent
Clubhouse Restaurant
The course was fine. The fairways were are little ragged and bare in some areas. I think the rainy weather has taken its toll. It was a bit disappointing that the clubhouse bar/restaurant closed before 5pm right when our round concluded. My group was hoping to enjoy a beer afterwards and catch up like we usually do after playing golf. The representatives were pretty firm on the stance that the clubhouse was closing. I am of the opinion that they should stay open for the golfers who are finishing later in the day.
Great course, value. They cleaned up the leaves so no lost balls, no time wasted trying to find your ball.
Isolated bad experience
Played yesterday, in the rain. The Geo fencing for the cart made it beep almost constantly. After the second or third hole, we drove in to talk to the guy managing the carts. He was pretty unfriendly didn’t say anything specific, but just a very unfriendly negative tone. We are too old guys, early 60s. First time in years, we’ve left a review with negative content. Other than that, this is one of our favorite courses. And we will be back many times in the future.
Winter is here
Love this course but winter is clearly here. No rough, spots of mud, fairways are dormant and grass is sparse. Need to hit it down the absolute middle of the ball will easily bounce/run off into the hazards without any rough. Greens are still in great shape despite nobody fixing ball marks.
