Teal Bend Golf Club
About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

JEFF BURKART
NIce course
I have played this course a few times over the years. Some fairways are wide open and some are not, hit the ball straight. The fairways seemed a little slow, the grass was maybe a bit long, but were in good shape. Has a few forced carries, a little water, a lot of doglegs but a very enjoyable course. I will definitely play it again.
Overwatered
Every step resulted in a slight squishy sound, even though I teed off at 1 pm. I hate to think what it was like at 9 am.
Great course
Great course. If you play after 4, be sure to bring mosquitoe spray.
Great layout
Old school country club feel. Every hole is unique. Greens were rolling true and in very nice condition. Played from the whites and only used my driver 5 times. True placement golf. I will definitely be back!
Love this course--too many ball marks
I always love this course and layout. Each hole is by itself surrounded by trees. The course overall is in decent shape, but I could not get over how many ball marks show up on the greens that were not repaired in the past. This course does not get an excessive amount of play compared to the busier muni courses in town, but the muni courses have nicer looking greens. I think because this is a pure daily fee course, with no player membership programs, the golfers who play this course don't care--no "ownership" interest. It's a shame for such a nice layout to play.
hot hot hot
except for the hot weather could not have been a more perfect day to play some golf. the hottest day that i've played golf this year. otherwise just great conditions for playing a beautifully maintained course. hope to play it more often.
Teal Bend Review
Teal Bend was as good as always, one of the best public courses in our area. Play was at a good pace and the course was in great shape.
Hidden Sac Gem
We live in the East Bay, but still make sure to drive up and play here when we can. From tee to green the course always is in very good shape. What we like best is that every hole is it’s own separate event as none run together and it is necessary to travel through the thick trees to get to the next tee. The layout is challenging but not tricked out.
We played in a little over 4 hours on an early Friday afternoon.
Highly suggest you give Teal Brnd a try.
Nice round
Met up with a twosome, we weee all about the same age and had a nice round. Course is in pretty good shape, greens were a little slow and inconsistent. Always a joy to play Teal it’s been on my rotation for a long time.
Nice course- way overpriced
Teal is always a good change to Sac courses but the price has become way out of proportion with the value.
From the bugs to rough fairways, it is not a $75 round course.
Top choice
Environment beautiful, no houses. Always challenging and interesting.
