Waterchase Golf Course
About
Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.
If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.
Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Greens
The pins were set 3 paces off the edges. The greens were so fast, a 3 putt was good. If you want that, go to Pinehurst. It ruined the day. I am a 10HC.
Sunset Rule
Was told at 5:15 that carts needed to be returned to the clubhouse. Sun didn't actually set until 5:40-45 and course would've definitely been playable until then or a little after. My round started at 1:42, ended on Hole 15. Use this information to help you choose your tee time! I wouldn't play any later than 1PM.
Range that's shared with Texas 9 is also pretty poor. Course layout is cool and greens were decent. Marshalls were extremely friendly and the highlight of the round was the staff.
C rated golf experience
Upon driving up to the course, the first thing you see is a double wide type trailer serving as the pro shop. Not a permanent structure or building. This exemplifies the Waterchase golf experience. The course is not memorable; we were charged $15 for a medium range bucket (when GolfNow shows range balls included at no charge). The course layout seemed to be haphazard - no major earth work was done to improve the terrain. Whatever shape the land have you, that feature was incorporated into the design. This leads to many ravines or lakes in poorly designed places on any given hole. All in all, we couldn't wait for the round to end.
Possibly the best corse in DFW
I loved this course. Well kept, bunkers and water EVERYWHERE! Challenging. Not too hard for a recreational
golfer to play, but you’re not likely to get your lowest score ever here either. I’ll likely be back
Get out there! Waterchase is in great condition!
I played this course many times over the years. We had a great time out there and the course is in very, very good shape. The pace of play was a tad slow, however, it was a beautiful day and lots of people were out there playing. I will be out there again soon.
Excellent Course
This course is beautiful. It has a great layout. Course is tucked away within the busy city.
Good
Everything was good except the GPS did not have correct flag placement.
Very frustrating not knowing where the pins are located.
Excellent Condition and Fun Layout
I love playing at Waterchase. One of the best public courses in DFW in my opinion. Always in great condition, pace of play is on point and it’s such a fun course. 10/10 would recommend
Tough but fun
Tricky greens but course was in great shape and had good pace
Great staff
This was our first time playing golf in Texas and this course was a great first experience. The staff in the club house was the nicest I’ve ever dealt with (specifically Clarence) and they were very accommodating. The course had some great views and was in really good condition.
Everything was great except for pace of play
Everything about the course itself was phenomenal
My only gripe was pace of play
The group in question was 3 holes ahead of us. Causing everyone behind them to slow immensely
4 hours in we only completed 14 holes and had to end because of darkness
Upon driving back we came across the group in question. 1person was about to hit their approach shot so we stopped to wait before driving on.
We really needed a stop watch for this guy.
I'm not positive if they were approached by the marshal pr not. But it really made for a long day.
Good course, bad Starter
The course was in good shape. the pace of play was ok for the time of day. but the starter there has a real bad attitude. He just isn’t very friendly and not very nice. He made it known that if we weren’t finished by 7 o’clock they have to come throw off the course. He made it very clear that was the most important thing he had to say. We got no important info on the course or conditions, etc. just be off the course by 7 or get thrown off…
