What a great experience
While my wife spent the day at a rehearsal for her best friends wedding, I got to play the Rawls. After the long drive from Dallas, I stepped out of the car ready to loosen up a couple hours before our tee time. I was not thrilled to hear the range had just been re sodded, putting the facility out of service. However I utilized the chipping and putting greens, which imo were in incredible shape. I was paired with two members, one being a professor at tech, and the other being a very nice young man that was entering his senior year of high school. (He shot 78 by the way) Our starter Mike was very friendly and easy to talk to. The gentleman I was riding with gave me a breakdown of each hole before we made each tee shot which was very crucial to my round. The Rawls can be very unforgiving, at the same time a good tee shot can be extremely rewarding. The greens were very true and receptive. A classic west texas scene with a great atmosphere.
Nice course
Would go more often if it wasn’t so expensive. Love the layout and a great challenge.
Awesome Course
In my opinion the best public course in Lubbock, more on the pricey side but you are paying for quality course conditions and good greens, going back next weekend
The best course in town
This was the best condition I’ve seen this course in. You can tell the course maintenance staff is full of committed professionals that love the game. Everything was pure, from the tee boxes to the green side bunkers. The course played true and challenging, but rewarding again the same time. Will definitely play again.
