About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. Nice straight forward course
Course is in good condition with a nice layout. Has water on several holes and some nice bunkering. Bunkers do not have good sand except for a few. Greens are receptive but a bit slow. Not sure if that was a condition for today or typical. Fairways were in general good shape.
A tad off
Played their course a fair amount. Greens were in pretty good shape, but in the slower side. Tee boxes were very rough today, really rough. Good track.

Conditions marginally adequate. Tee boxes TORN UP. maybe the culture amongst the Patrons is DON'T fix your ball marks!? I used to play this course a lot right after opening and how it has gone downhill. I suspect it is just overplayed. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hats off for that. Maybe if they charged the area average and increased their green fees by $5-10, they could use that to rehabilitate a really fun track. Layout is interesting, but not quirky that have a several good risk- reward holes especially their par Fives. Also a real good mix of short and long par threes. Any of 3 or 4 holes could be used as signature holes.
Simple course
I’m shooting my best rounds here, a lot of forgiving holes.
Great Course except for tee boxes
Wildhawk is my home course and it is one step away from being a great course - the tee boxes need work on many holes. There are many tee areas where the markers can simply be moved and it would be better, but some are completely destroyed. I have never seen any work on the tee boxes - at least go in and try to do some repair?
Terrible Tee Boxes
I like the course and love the staff-but PLEASE fix the Tee Boxes , there is not a flat spot on them and it has been that way for as long as I can remember. Otherwise great fun easy course.
Greens were good
Greens were in good shape, rolled well. Had some pace to them, but we’re damp from watering due to the high temps. Fairways and rough were a bit sparse.

Since COVID I have primarily played courses that I could walk. Recently I've started booking, once again, through GOLFNOW tee times that include a cart . I've taken particular caution to assure that cart policies adhere to COVID concerns as the country begins to open up. WILDHAWK'S web site states they will accommodate a shared cart with a COVID barrier or no barrier for same household. When I checked in today (1:48 on 7-5-21) I was informed my options where to share a cart (no mention of a barrier) or wait with no guarantee of a cart being available. When I said I was not comfortable the options and was willing to accept a refund (or even a rain check would do) I was told I had to deal with GOLFNOW. So as you can imagine I left. One thing to note on WILDHAWK'S web site at the end the cart policy there is a request to work with the pro shop staff. So here is a suggestion if you can't comply with your own policy issue a refund or rain check and this negative review never sees the light of day.
