Championship at Seven Springs Country Club
About
Seven Springs Country Club offers two golf courses, the Championship and an executive course. Located in New Port Richey, the courses are just minutes away from Tampa Bay and the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches. The Championship Course offers a challenge for players of all skill levels, especially if it's a windy day. There are a few bunkers scattered along the greensides but water is the most prominent hazard. There are numerous lakes and ponds throughout that come into play on almost every hole. Towering pines and cypress trees also frame most of the holes. Thanks to the challenging layout, lush fairways, and manicured greens, the golf course has earned the reputation of being one of Pasco County's best. Seven Springs also offers a practice facility with an excellently conditioned driving range with four target greens and a hitting area that is 300 yards in length.

Great value
Staff is very friendly, the amenities are clean and cared for very well. Course is a bit of a challenge, especially from the blues but very enjoyable to play
Need a Marshall
We played behind a foursome that had a two free holes in front of them, never offered to let us play through. Just passed them at the turn. A Marshall would have made them speed up or let people through.
Not worth the 70.00
Had a group of five in front of us all day, tee boxes were in average shape. Fairways were average lots of grass clumping, greens were in decent shape not a long course layout was good. It was overpriced by about $30.00 definitely better choices out there for the fee.
Seven springs championship club.
Course was in good condition for Florida heavy play and weather. They overbooked both front on back nine so we had to wait about a 1/2 hour for groups to go ahead of us. Marshal explained this and was excellent at making us feel comfortable. Staff was very good, pro shop restaurant and cart people. Will be back. Food was good.
Slippery greens
The greens were consistent but devilishly fast. Multiple 4 putts. Fairways were lacking grass, nearly 100% super tight lies. Always liked the layout. 5 hour round was a tester. Will give another chance tho’
Nice track!
Challenging course with some tight fairways, water and sloped greens! Definitely enjoyed playing Seven Springs despite slightly cooler temps (FL standard) and fast rolling greens which took me to school! Get out and play!
Fast, small greens. Fun layout. Friendly staff.
Staff: super friendly and welcoming.
Carts: gas but newer and in great shape with plenty of speed. Cooler and divot mix attached to side. USB charging ports.
Tee boxes: decent shape for winter. Never had to hunt for a grassy spot or a strategic angle.
Fairways: Spotty grass on some holes. Typical winter conditions. Tight in some areas but if you are strategic you have room on the parts that matter.
Sand: fluffy and well kept. Exactly how you expect the sand to be.
Greens: small and tough hole placements. Fast and predictable for the most part. Plan your approach shots carefully! Don't want a downhill putt.
Pace of play: Rangers constantly monitoring pace. Signs tell you where you should be at points on the course. Was a little slow on the front and opened up on the back.
Other: clearly designated drop areas on common water spots. Out of bounds clearly marked. Distances marked were accurate according to my GPS. Driving range not open to public.
Overbooked ? Manage tee times
Ranger told me (female) to tell 2 young males we were paired with to keep it on fairway. Tell them yourself. We hurried up, after 2 holes hurrying, jammed up to 2 foursomes waiting ahead of us. Total round 4 hrs 5 mins, even with delays, manage your tee times better. Not very enjoyable day.
Pretty good value
Greens in great shape, fairways and rough in expected winter shape, but for the money ( booked using Golf Now) good value. I’m so glad they pair up players to give all a chance of getting in a decently-paced round.
Other course that let twosomes go out alone are being disrespectful to the other players….. just sayin
