Championship at Seven Springs Country Club
About
Seven Springs Country Club offers two golf courses, the Championship and an executive course. Located in New Port Richey, the courses are just minutes away from Tampa Bay and the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches. The Championship Course offers a challenge for players of all skill levels, especially if it's a windy day. There are a few bunkers scattered along the greensides but water is the most prominent hazard. There are numerous lakes and ponds throughout that come into play on almost every hole. Towering pines and cypress trees also frame most of the holes. Thanks to the challenging layout, lush fairways, and manicured greens, the golf course has earned the reputation of being one of Pasco County's best. Seven Springs also offers a practice facility with an excellently conditioned driving range with four target greens and a hitting area that is 300 yards in length.

Great Value and good condition
This course had great greens with good speed. Layout was pretty good with a few hidden holes that should be easier the next time.
Friendly staff and welcoming environment. Course was in great shape. Had to be very strategic around the course, could not take driver on most holes as it was very tight with a lot of water. Definitely recommend
Improved fairway conditions
The end of the rainy season has allowed the fairways to grow grass again improving the fairway lies. The Bermuda grass rough is snarly and difficult to hit out of.
Well Kept Secret
This is a really enjoyable course. With all the difficulties other courses in the area have been having, the condition here was outstanding. VERY LITTLE sogginess. Greens were receptive but not soaked. Rolled very well. Fairways in very good condition. There were some thin spots, but again, much better than other courses I have played recently. This is an EXCEPTIONAL value on GolfNow. I'm surprised this course is so well-priced and not packed with people. It should be!
WOW
GREAT TRACK ... THE ROUGH IS LIKE THE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP !!!
Nice course
This course was in surprisingly good shape considering the recent weather. Enjoyed our round and will play here again.
good conditions, greens a bit slow
In spite of wet weather, the course was dry enough to play. Rough was very penalizing as it was long and thick. That's to be expected after heavy rains.
Serenity
Pleasure to be around a course surrounded by nature. If you have made a par you have earned it. Leave the fairway and the ball maybe lost. So hit it straight.
What a great golf course
I’ve booked in the early morning time after a heavy rainfall. My playing partner and buy sell out in the only one that we saw all day. The course was cartpath only because of the rainfall, however there were very few shots that I encountered to be soupy. Even the greens rolled incredibly quick and true. This golf course is better played by not being too greedy. Take what the course gives you, and don’t try to be a hero, and you will score well. This track is definitely a good test of golf for any level of player and you will more than likely want to come back. Kudos to the grounds crew for keeping it in such great shape even with all of the recent saturation. Also, all the staff I encountered were extremely inviting and welcoming. Play this course, you won’t regret it.
More than 7 springs out there
We grabbed a hot deal and headed for 7-Springs. I had played there several times before but this was the first time for my golfing buddy who is pretty particular on golf courses. He was impressed and we had a great time. Course conditions were excellent and we were treated like superstars by the staff. At the turn we bought a couple of wraps for lunch. They were great and a bargain at $5. The pace could have been a little better but we followed an elderly couple that added another 45 minutes to our round. Oh well, the scenery out there made up for the delay. There's a lot of water to avoid and my buddy remarked, "There's more that seven springs out there for sure". He lost more balls than me. I wouldn't hesitate to return to 7-Springs.
Great Little Course
I really enjoy this course. Although it is not long, many holes are challenging and you really have to think your way around. I suggest taking the golf cart past your ball in the fairway to see what you will be hitting into. Some of the water holes intrude much further into the fairway than you expect. Tees and fairways were excellent. There were some rough spots on some of the greens, but overall they were really nice as well. They ran medium to slow, but rolled very true. Luckily I wasn't in any of the many traps today, but they looked like they had ample amounts of sand.
I will be back often.
NIce course but very wet when played
This is an excellent layout and when it receives water really gets good until its too much water. The BIG problem is that the pace of play bogs down to an eternal wait for people, usually members, who have no knowledge of pace of play. Four guys watching one person get out of a cart and address the ball while the others sit even though their ball is beside them is ridiculous. They act like Jim Nance is doing comment while they are on TV.
Fairways in transition
Have played this course before when in much better condition. Fairways had been punched and some were bald. Hopefully there will be improvement when the summer grasses fill back in. The overall 3 rating is generous
