Rating 34.4

Formerly the site of a rock quarry, the par-36, nine-hole Greynolds Golf Course now shares the landscape with a hardwood hammock and mangrove forest that is one of the most well protected natural areas in northern Miami. The carefully preserved surroundings support an abundance of wildlife including several species of birds and rare, colorful butterflies. The golf course is part of Greynolds Park, which offers scenic camping grounds and numerous nature trails in addition to the golf course. There are also excellent opportunities for kayaking and canoeing thanks to the Oleta River, which runs alongside the east side of the park. Opened in 1964, the golf course has a traditional layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. More advanced players can enjoy a quick round while less experienced golfers can get in some good practice.

It’s a shame

The place looks like no one cares for the greens or tee boxes. Weeds cover the greens and make it almost impossible to putt. I’ve played better courses that are winter only rules up north.

Sad

There is no grass just weed. Tee boxes are bad, Buckers full of rocks and weeds, the greens are in miserable conditions or not exist at all.

Miami Dade County doesn’t care for their golf

Fairways are mostly dirt, bunkers are full of rocks that will scar your clubs, greens are patchy with weeds, and the rough is so overgrown you’ll lose balls constantly. The practice areas have been completely neglected. Management has wasted taxpayer money on the wrong seed for our climate, and the crew is left with barely any equipment—there’s only one roller for the entire county.

Despite all this, they still charge as much as a proper 18-hole course while offering only 9. The kitchen has been shuttered since COVID, and the faded menu board with old prices is a sad reminder of better days.

This place could be a real asset to the community, but right now it’s a poorly maintained, overpriced disappointment.

Not worth it

I know it’s very cheap but still, greens in the middle of the fairway, tee boxes completely destroyed and greens looking like bunkers, bunkers full of stones that couldn’t be used. Overall wouldn’t go again, orangebrook is in way better shape and with 18 holes.

Terrible, frightening

The fairway is not bad, the bunkers are full of stones, the greens are terrible, 3 down, only 1 acceptable and the others destroyed, making it impossible to play properly. It is cheap but with the greens being so bad it is very expensive because you are paying for rubbish.

Stay away

Terrible greens, and over priced. Spend the extra 30 bucks for a better 18 hole. Stay away

Terrible greens

No greens, just small circle with a flag, the greens are always under maintenance. They should charge half price at least.

Greens are Horrible

course is really unplayable. greens, fairways and tee boxes all have chunks missing. There was 3 or 4 artificial greens which being in the fairway actually rolled better then the greens.

long story short, don't play here especially for $34.

Will be not going back for at least 6 months
