The Country Club of Orange Park provides a scenic challenge with a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and towering oak trees. There is also a bird sanctuary that runs along the entire right side of the first five holes, offering golfers a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabit the golf course including wild turkeys, deer, and osprey. The layout features tree-lined fairways and large greens. The golf course has a more traditional feel with tees and fairways that were cut close to the greens, resulting in a narrow field of play. There is water on 14 holes and bunkers strategically placed around the greens.

rough
The roughs on the side of the fairways were ridiculous. My three some lost probably a dozen golf balls in the rough! It's understandable to lose balls in the woods and water but in the rough? Seems like this course is now set up for the above average player. I won't be back until I hear the roughs have been cut down enough to find a golf ball.
Still a must play
Course in good shape with the exception of 4-5 greens. Was definitely worth the playing.
Not a fair price
Every green is in bad shape...ponds smell terrible full of algae
Ugly Ugly greens
Three years ago OPCC was one of the better tracks in the area...then the greens started to turn bad. This was a problem at many courses in the area, including some high end locations. Others have fixed their problem. I was playing this course once or twice a week, then monthly, then three months, and the last visit was December. Now it will be a year befor I try again.
Greens very poor
This course has some of the best tee boxes, fairways and rough conditions in most of the Jacksonville offerings. The course is very picturesque. The only shortcoming is the greens. They are in very poor condition and not up to the standards of the rest of the course. I questioned myself if we should consider them as temporary greens and just score as a two putt. I will play again as I really liked the layout , but not until the reviews change on the greens. Great potential!
Bad Bad Bad....Greens
Nice course, too bad greens are in such bad shape..
heard they are going to hut down course in JUNE to redo them.
CC of Orange park
The front nine greens were in pretty bad condition. the back nine greens were in much better shape, otherwise it was an overall good experience.
Bring your "A" game
This course is a great layout, full of challenges at every hole. The greens were not in the best of shape, but I hear they are getting ready to redo them, so I look forward to that.
Nice course
This was the third time I've played this course. The course is in good condition. The pace of play was a bit slow on the front nine but picked up on the back nine. Will definitely play this course again.
9 Hole Round
Played 9 holes on a Saturday afternoon for $16.Played as a single in about 2 hrs. Some of the greens have some brown spots but overall in good shape.Would play again.
Challenging course
Start times were running late due to a scramble in the morning. We started about 20 minutes late. The course was in decent shape. The grass on the greens was long and they ran extremely slow. Fairways were in good shape. As a high handicapper I found this course very challenging. There is water everywhere. If you 're not hitting them straight bring extra balls. Good challenging course.
the greens were very slow
I base a lot of my opinion on how the greens are. If they are green and smooth and fast I usually let the rest of the course get by. the day I played the greens could have been rolling a 4.
Good Layout
Good condition for this time of year. Greens slow but true.
Fun course
Greens not great. 2nd time playing and greens were not good either time. Other reviews show greens need work.
They do.
MUCH BETTER THAN IN THE FALL
THE IMPROVEMENT IN CONDITION OF GREENS IS REMARKABLE. CERTAINLY THE MAIN REASON FOR A MORE RELAXING & ENJOYABLE ROUND. WILL PLAY AGAIN ON A MORE REGULAR BASIS.
Nice Fairways
5 of the greens were rough. 4 tee boxes were rough. The rest of the course was pretty nice and it is a great layout.
Pretty Nice golf course overall, fun to play
This is my third time playing this course, a little bit of a drive for me but is overall a decent course for the price and fun to play, lots of wild life.
Nice setting
This course was intergraded well throughout a very charming neighborhood. The club house, facility and fairways were well maintained. The day we played the greens were extremely slow and lumpy. Hard to get a true roll. A good mowing and rolling the greens would go a long way to making this a fun place to play again.
Take a pass on this one
Played the front nine, didn't bother to play the back. Half the greens were not cut in maybe a week, like trying to putt in the fairway. Fairways were so soft you had to clean your ball before every shot to wipe the mud off. Would not go back for any price. Three of the holes were cart path only. I have played this course maybe 30 times, this is the worst I have seen it ever.
Great layout
I've played here several times because it's a great course for the money. However, this is the 2nd time in a row that it's been extremely soggy. No rain the previous 2 days prior to the round and it was still wet! 5 non par 3`s were cart path only. Will play it again but only if it hasn't rained in at least a week.
