Really Improved Since August!
I'm a 13 handicap golfer who normally plays at a country club in the Seattle area. I played Pine Lakes for the first time in August this year because I've always liked Arnold Palmer designed courses and wanted to try this one. The reviews were mixed then but we tried it anyway. The layout was awesome, the greens were pretty good but had many rough patches, and the sand traps were mostly unraked hardpan. I was back in town again and wanted to play golf with a buddy. I read the most recent reviews about how improved the course was and decided to play it again yesterday (10/09). I was pleasantly surprised. The biggest improvements were the putting greens were almost completely healed, much faster and more true this time. There were still a few rough places on some of the greens but they were amazingly improved. This time the sand traps were still a little thin but had been raked by the staff and had rakes in them. The golf carts are brand new, the driving range is grass and in great shape with good range balls, the staff was friendly. My friend rented clubs...and I have to say the rental clubs were a mixed bag of old clubs...so I recommend bringing your own clubs if you are used to playing with decent clubs. I could not rate the off-course amenities because the dining room was closed on Mondays. Hope this helps. I would say in summary, it's a great value and a fun course.
great transformation
Incredible what they have done to this course. Give it a second look you will be pleasantly surprised.
Vast improvement
This golf course hopefully has turn the corner is getting better condition greens are reasonable fairways and teae boxes were good. Did get a GolfNow deal and was well worth the money
Pleasantly surprised
This course has been getting terrible reviews for quite some time. Last time we played it was pre Covid, and the greens were the worst we had ever seen. Recently a friend told us the greens were much better so we decided to give it a try. We always like the course layout and it’s a 15 minute drive from our house. We had an enjoyable round and will play there again.
Complete Turnaround
I played this course in March when it was just a goat track. And 6 months later I find a golf course in its place. I cannot believe the transformation. The course was beautiful. Greens were a bit bouncy in spots but still putted true. Maybe the best designed course in greater Daytona thanks to Arnie. Great job by the superintendent getting it back in shape. Will be back.
Great layout.
Every thing was fine except the greens had been punched and had not yet recovered.
Fantastic improvements
My favorite course in Palm Coast. Greens were among the worst in town for the last couple of years. Now there among the best in town.
Pine Lakes
Pine Lakes greens are getting much better. Fairways are great and layout is great as well.
Better Each Time Out
The course continues to improve. Greens are filling in. We enjoy playing here almost weekly.
Improving Week To Week
Course conditions have improved significantly over the last couple of months. Great layout and enjoyable to play. Recently upgraded to new golf carts.
Ok.
Ok . Lets get this out. I live on the course and have for a long time, it stinks. I walk the course most evenings It is disgusting what has happened to it. A great golf course Killed by an owner the does not have a clue about "FLORIDA" course management. All that has been done is so wrong. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONET THE PLACE IS GOOD FOR GRAZZING CATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Improving
Haven’t played this course in about five years. There was a lot of talk about how the greens had been decimated the last couple of years and had it not been for a special price I would have probably played one of my typical courses and not Pine Lakes.
There were a few greens where I needed to move my ball to not putt through a “bad” or “rough” area on the greens, tees & fairways were spot on.
My round was after some heavy rain bunkers were soaked so I can’t really give an opinion on hitting green side.
Overall compared to what the general word on the street had said about Pine Lakes - I would say it is improving and worth a look if not priced out compared to other nearby courses.
Much Improved
The course conditions have much improved in the last month or two. Tee boxes & fairways are in excellent condition. Greens have improved greatly.
I
I am guessing the players who gave this course anything above a 2 had to have been on some type of mind altering drug. Anyone giving this dump a rating above a two 2 should be blood tested for LSD. From the staff to the course this place smells real bad...........
Course is looking good!
Pine Lakes has come a long way in just a few months! The greems that were in disrepair have improved significantly. Overall the fairways look great, and the lay-out is fantastic. This is one of my favorites in Palm Coast!
