Well maintained with first class clubhouse
recent heavy rains impacted lawn maintenance. The day we played the grass had been mowed but clumps of grass were every where making it difficult to find balls.
Challengine but fair - tests your shot making ability
Challenging layout with great diversity of holes. You will need all your clubs and will have some testing shots. Good risk / reward options on most holes. Staff in pro shop and club house is very friendly and understand customer service. If anywhere near the area this is a must play.
Decent course, greens were in good shape
First time playing at Pine Lakes. Starter attempted to clump together three separate Golf Now groups to form a foursome which was not desired by three separate groups nor necessary as number of golfers going out was low at mid-day. Eventually starter changed his approach and sent our two-some out as originally reserved. Steering on golf cart needed repair pretty sloppy. Cart lacked GPS, score card and signs did not provide guidance on course layout which slowed play a little overall. Greens were decent and variety of and length of holes were challenging. Sand traps throughout the course needed some maintenance looked like they had not been worked for sometime. Overall good course to get some playing time preferred the back nine overall.
Mediocre
No lightening warning system. No rangers on the course to make players aware of impending storm. No towels were offered on the carts and the course was in rough condition. One person behind the counter and was cordial.
Very Nice Course
I hadn't played this course in a long time. It is designed by Arnold Palmer, and is a great layout. The course is well maintained, my cart however barely made it the 18 holes. The greens were in beautiful shape! A lot of women were playing the day I did, 3 groups of lady's in front and one behind. Although pace of play was good, as most of the women only played 9 so the back 9 went pretty fast.
i was only able to play 9 holes it started lighting and came a down pour.
i would really like to finish but the guy behind the counter told me it would be up to you
Great place!!
This is a beautiful course. Challenging but not impossible. Great staff too!
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE A MUST
From the white tees the shortest par 3 was 163 yards (all four 3's between 163 & 169 ). I never used my 6,7,8,or 9 iron on any hole all day. Course was in great shape. Putts rolled smooth, but tough to read.
nice greens, challenging holes
Greens are in great shape, only a very few spots in the fairways. Very well maintained course. Very friendly staff in Pro Shop and in Grill. Some very tough holes to shoot par, but fair risk/reward.
Great value with hot tee time
Great rolling tiered greens. Plenty of challanges from traps, water and the doglegs.
Worth the money for admission
Nice coarse, not all that long. Has a number of left and right dog-legs. A few hidden hazards at various points that favor repeat players or GPS use. Fairway bunkers usually protect corners, though they appeared on the short end of driver distances so the risk can be worth the reward. At the end of the day, the only negative is the condition of the homes at various points. The lower income housing distracts from the otherwise well manicured fairways and greens. Worth playing!
Off Season
Played this course several time always well maintained , greens are average speed but in great shape.
Pace of play needs some work it can be very slow , maybe related to the fact that many "members" who play this totally public course.
Greens were nice. Great layout.
Greens were in great shape... But kinda slow. Great layout. Course has great potential .. But needs attention. They need new carts... Several ran out of power during rd... Including ours.
Very good value.
The course was in very good condition and a great value.
greens are ahhhhhhhhh but fun
Course in excellent condition, staff was friendly, and seen cart girl a lot. The greens a huge but hilly u hv to put ball in correct spot om green or u will 3/4 putt. Wide open. Course but u hv to play smart...
Looks are deceiving
I really like this course. Initially you get the impression that this course is easy. Wrong. If you want to score well you have to be able to control your drive. There is either a hazzard or turn or water at my driving limit 220-230. If you have control you can find a good landing zone. If not, it's a bogie hole. Challanging and very attractive.
Course condition was very good. I have always enjoyed this course.
This is a very enjoyable course and it was in excellent condition.
good value. interesting but fair.
Multi level greens make it interesting. Course is in good condition, and play moved along well.
The course has some age, but it is still in good shape.
This is the second time that I played this course this year. It is still a very nice course for the price. They have also upgraded with new GPS systems on golf carts. Very nice feature!
Good value and would be happy to play again
A good challenge and well kept. Tough putting due to roll of the green. Not many well made puts from our group. No matter, I enjoyed the course.
