too much drinking
hard to focus on golf when the other golfers and focused more on drinking than golf. thankfully i was able to move past them after seven holes because they were playing so slow.
Poplar creek
Great course
driving range closed. Covid practice seemed to use common sense. Curb side bar and sanitized carts available. Great staff
Good to be back. Great place to get past the covid blues
Poplar is open layout. The wind decides if it’s an easy course perfect for beginners and families to get away from shelter in place all the time...or a Bay Area challenge against 30 MPH gusts that turn the par 3 12th into a driver hole.
Come out and enjoy. It’s well worth it.
Course looks amazing
I’ve been going to Poplar for some time now and this is the cleanest and most up kept I have seen this course in the last 5 years. Fairways and greens looked amazing
Good course. Good value.
This is the first week the course has been open since the SIP and it was in good condition. The staff made sure that the tee-times were spaced out so each foursome could play without much contact with other players on the course. Me and the guys in my group had a good experience.
Great condition for March
Great condition for March.
Got off early, pace was very good until 15th hole.
Fun course to play
Used the hot deal from golfnow.com. Teed off at 12:30 and finished at 4:50. Played in a foursome. The course was in very good condition, the staff was friendly, and the other three players were good to play with. This is the typical experience when I play Poplar Creek.
4 hours and light wind
Had a good day at Poplar Creek. Pace of play was good. Very little time waiting on the tees.Light wind which was nice. Course was in good shape. Most of the tees were up.
good course
Poplar Creek is a good course with some challenging holes and a good layout.
The course is in good condition although a little wet from the rain.
Pace of play was better than normal.
Golf now prices do not include cart rental
I was surprised to see that my booking with Golf Now was no cheaper than the walk in price at the club, (I paid $30 at Golf Now and then I was charged an additional $15 for renting 50% of a cart which adds up to the same price as I would have paid at the club). Instead of saving, Golf Now did not provide the flexibility to cancel the booking. So next time I will not use Golf Now but rather reserve at the club.
Slow play by the Bay
I have played Poplar Creek many times over the years. It used to be a fun, friendly ~4 hour round. This Monday was different after 3 1/2 hours we walked off the course after completing just 12 holes. The course conditions were pretty good for winter. Balls in the fairways almost always picked up mud but the greens putted true and medium fast.
6 Hours is NOT a typical round length
Sorry that you guys are trying to sell a 6 hour weekend round as typical, but that's a joke. That morning tournament took way too long to get started and delayed everyone else. Inexcusable, and no friendly customer service either.
Fix your tee times.
Marshall’s needed Marshall’s needed Marshall’s needed
Enough already-we had Four hear me Four groups on the tee box for the 2nd hole—it took 3hrs to finish 9holes..Staff was unresponsive when called requesting help.. came to find out that a group was waiting until the greens were cleared before teeing off..need more staff on course during holiday play. More recreational golfers come out to play, obviously plan for it..24 for a cart seems high., I won’t recommend
