One of the biggest greens in Bay Area. I paced it off at 75 yards long!! Photo submitted by aliikane10 on 07/14/2017
Good Conditions, Tough Layout
The course is built in a valley with one side or the fairway being a hill and the other side being a drop-off on most of the holes. It's narrow, and punishing. There are also quite a few cart path only holes (4 or 5), which is always annoying.
Conditions were good and staff was friendly, but I don't know if I'd want to play here that often because of the quirks of the course. Maybe as you become familiar with it and know what clubs to hit in different situations, it gets better.
Hard Course In Great Condition
One of the best maintained courses in the East Bay. It is also the hardest course in the East Bay. Frustrating that several holes are always cart path only . Not a course for the out of shape or disabled golfer!

Thank you for your review, NorCAGolfer47. We're glad you appreciate our course maintenance and understand the challenges posed by our layout. We hope to see you back at The Bridges Golf Club soon!
Tough course but the fee doesn't reflect a good value.
For the green fee you'd think they would have a functioning restaurant and beverage cart. The course greens are in rough shape. Not a single ball washer. Carts struggle to stop when hitting the breaks. The staff at the pro shop were super friendly, that was the only positive.

Thank you for your feedback, etcharc. We apologize for the issues you encountered and appreciate your kind words about our staff. We'll work on improving these areas to enhance your experience in the future.
Course review
Course was tough but nice to play.. Difficult layout but nice to be challenged.

Thank you for your review, mattaccord. We're glad you enjoyed the challenging layout and hope to see you back at The Bridges Golf Club soon!
You kidding me??
Most challenging course in the Bay Area……. Period not for beginners I enjoyed and shot an 87. It’s all about course management!!

Thank you for your review, Yusuf1728842. We're thrilled you enjoyed the challenge and appreciate your emphasis on course management. We hope to see you back at The Bridges Golf Club soon!
Terrible pace. Have a several groups ahead of us with 5 or more. One group had 7 people. Food was unavailable due to wedding. Which makes no sense especially when there are out of town players like myself going to spend the day out there. I’m

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We apologize for your experience on the course, as our policy is to not allow fivesomes and to keep the pace of play moving. I shared your feedback with our team and we have noted your concerns. Please email me at dosterberg@thebridgesgolf.com when you have time to discuss further. Dan Osterberg, PGA, Director of Golf, The Bridges Golf Club
The absolute worst
This is probably the worst course I’ve played in 25 years. Tee boxes are slanted, fairways seemed like they were watered for 48 hours (96 degree weather), greens were decent. Pace of play is too slow, the clubhouse allows groups more than 4 to play together. We were stuck behind a group of 5 who was stuck behind a group of 8. Restaurant closed at 11 for a wedding so bring food with you, even if they don’t allow it. I would NEVER come back here and would NEVER recommend this course to anyone.
Make the 2 hour drive and play a course in Monterey county for the same price with tour level conditions.

We apologize for what sounds like a tough day here at The Bridges. We pride ourselves on providing a first-class experience to our golfers and diners. It would be helpful if you could email me at dosterberg@thebridgesgolf.com to discuss your experience further. Dan Osterberg, PGA, Director of Golf, The Bridges Golf Club
Very poor staff interaction.
Very poor staff interaction. The man at the front desk, middle aged was rude, offensive and disrespectful. I am a 71 year old senior of Asian descent. His demeanor bordered on being abusive. Another gentleman who was waiting in line had to intervene to calm him down. No provocation anywhere for any reason. Perhaps he did not expect me to be there. It is a wonderfully laid out and very well kept course. I enjoyed my round with another fine golfer who I was lucky to find at the course.

Please know that we welcome everyone to our facilities and are pleased that you had a positive experience on the golf course. I shared your feedback with our pro shop staff and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your situation further with you. Nice Course But Otherwise Not Awesome
The course and the greens were in very good shape. There are some great par 5's with elevated teeboxes and views that are very nice. But there are also a lot of very tight holes with strongly sloped fairways down to water or woods. A million ways to lose a golf ball here. But there are a bunch of other things about the way this place is managed that I think are pretty bad. For one thing, the day I played it was 106 degrees. And I didn't encounter any water on the course in the entire front 9. Also, when you go from 9 to 10, you do NOT pass by the clubhouse - and if you don't know the place very well - GOOD LUCK finding the clubhouse at all! I was with a guy who has played there multiple times and we had to turn around 5 times in order to get from the 10th tee back to the clubhouse, because we were all dying of thirst! There is no sign for the clubhouse, except in one direction when you go from 16 to 17 - and BTW - good luck finding 17, which has no sign for it to help you navigate. Also, the place is HORRIBLE for walkers - DO NOT WALK this course - you will regret it - the distances are very long between green and next tee. Also the golf carts here are programmed by sadists to constantly prevent you from going anywhere but certain fairway areas, and GOOD LUCK turning the cart around - because only the cart path is approved, and you can't go off the path to turn around or you cart shuts off. Also - on my hot play day, there was no reason for so many CART PATH ONLY holes - which was brutal with the heat and the lack of water. Also NO CART GIRLS to help you get drinks or food (on my day, which to be fair was the 4th of July). So, as I said - it's a nice well maintained course with bad management. Overall I think it's overpriced and I don't think I will be playing there again for a long time.

Thank you for your detailed feedback on your experience at our golf course. We apologize for the challenges you faced, particularly with navigating the course and the lack of water access on such a hot day, and we’re working on making immediate improvements based on your comments. We hope you give The Bridges Golf Club another try in the future.
Needs service help
Course was in great shape. Unfortunately, there was no cart service and the restaurant was shut down for a wedding. 97* with very little liquids make for a hot day!

We're glad to hear the course was to your liking, but apologize for the inconvenience of the cart service and restaurant closure. Your feedback is appreciated as we strive to enhance our services. Thank you for choosing The Bridges Golf Club, and we hope to see you again soon.
Thank you for your feedback, tahoeshowtime. We appreciate your comments on the course conditions and staff, and we'll consider your insights as we strive to improve the experience for our guests. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
