The Bridges Golf Club

I brought a couple coworkers from work to play Bridges. It was a beautiful day. The only two things I have problems with is the carts how slow they were but the group in front of us was even slower. I don’t know if they were doing some type of dance on the green, squatting down all together or what?? They sure were taking the time we could’ve probably finish an hour before it was quite painful. They should go to a different golf course. Bridges was way too hard for them. Especially during this time of year when everybody’s trying to finish around because it gets dark so early. It’s still a fantastic golf course, just speed up the play!

The view is beautiful, the grass is in good condition, and the staff is kind.

A year ago, I gave this place a 1-star review. Today, I returned as no other courses had available slots. Once again, they didn’t disappoint—2-hour delay and no compensation due to “mother nature” and frost.

Even more ridiculous, the starter blamed us for showing up “late.” We were told our tee time was delayed to 12:30, so we showed up at 12. When we explained this to the starter, they said we should have been checking regularly. Seriously? After being delayed for hours, we’re expected to constantly check in? We originally booked a 10:30 tee time and barely managed to finish 18 holes. What a joke.

Nice course with very tough greens with unreadable breaks no matter where you are at on them. The starter said it was going to be a hard round and he was right. I did run off 7 pars in a row from 5-11 but it went down hill from there. I would play it again. It would take a few times to get used to those greens. I play a 120-130 rounds a year. Go give it a try.

The course is in great shape with the greens rolling fast and true. Finished 18 holes in under 4 hours. The tee boxes need a bit of work....

Took 5 hours for 18 holes. Pace is too slow. Beverage cart only showed up once, and that is worse because you don’t have anywhere to buy drinks because you don’t go by the clubhouse after hole 4.

Fairways are narrow, and conditions are decent. Greens are not well maintained, divots everywhere and no one repairs them. Some of the holes the greens are too long and clearly needs to be mowed and maintained.

Have people that will walk and stroll the course and later being escorted out. The group behind was robbed when someone tried to steal their cart and drive off the property.

Not a pleasant experience at all.

For the first time I played this course and shot 87 from white which is little higher than what I expected but had no real complaints. The starter told me to prepare 10-15 balls but I ended up loosing one throughout the round. The greens were tricky as it gave me no true feel on ball rolling so 3 putts on the green could be common in most cases.

This was previously in my top three by area courses. and in the early 2000's I was playing here about twice a week. I hadn't played it in several years and was sadly disappointed with how they have let this course deteriorate. The course is covered in unmarked ground under repair areas, was severely over watered to the point balls were plugging in the fairway and numerous locations of standing water. This went from my top three courses to I would not pay to play here again.

Course was a bit dry in some spots, but overall the greens were rolling well and that is usually not the case. Every time I play here I'm always disappointed in how slow and uncut/unrolled the greens are, but not this time! They were rolling great. They cut down weeds on lots of the hillsides so lots of balls were fed back toward the course which was nice.

If this is how Bridges always played I would be much more likely to come back...

It’s a beautiful course and there are water stations and restrooms along the way. Course is well-maintained and nice to play!
