Royal/Sabal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
About
Famous for having some of the best greens in south Florida, Pembroke Pines' Grand Palms Golf & Country Club offers three nine-hole courses: Royal, Sabal and Grand. The three golf courses are played in three separate combos, with the Royal/Sabal coming in at a robust 6,724 yards from the gold tees. The golf course traverses across a landscape of tropical foliage and thick palms, providing both a challenge and a reminder of what south Florida golf has to offer. The Royal/Sabal shines with player-friendly fairways and generous greens.

Golfer Reviews
fast pace
Love that they have 3x 9 holes layout. game go much smoother than other 18 holes course. Not excellent green around the pin but worth the money.
Good value for money
This course is a good value for the money. Lots of water, bring lots of balls.
Could be better
Nice course that I have played before. Greens and tees could be better. Sand traps need a bit of work but that's not unusual.
Sabal 9
The Sabal 9 is not in great condition. Grand 9 was in better conditions. Fairways and greens were in fine shape but bunkers are full of rocks and ruff is 95% weeds.
This course is fine.
Some tee off need new grass. And some green need maintain. The cups weren’t nice that day and were not replaced. Maybe after the heavy rain we had some days ago. Hope they fix it for my next game.
Good hole, bad conditions
Grand Palms is a you-know-what-you’re-getting course. The conditions are on par with the price. Hole layouts are interesting and fun. Better conditions would drive up rating tremendously. But the mixed/poor grass, muddy tracks, terrible bunkers, etc drag it down. Greens were fair/slow. On course bar/lounge is the strangest such bar I’ve ever seen in a golf course. Would rather go to a dive bar.
OK conditions
I have been playing at Grand Palms for over 20 years and it’s about time they renovate the golf course. Weekend rate is around $65, overpriced. The greens are ok, with many greens having sand patches repairs. The bunkers are ok. The fairways could be better. Tee boxes are not good. I would still recommend for a round closer to home.
Horrible
Course is in terrible shape. Doesn't drain well. Bunkers are not in good shape. Range balls are terrible. Some off the staff members are terrible. Needs new management
