Royal/Sabal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club

This was by far the worst round of golf i have ever had. The course just was completely neglected. No rangers going around to monitor pace of play. We finsihed out 0825 tee time at 1430. Groups somehow are inept and cut in front. The grass was not cut at all, you could not find your ball on the fairway, not the rough, the fairway.

Don't waste your money, only good part is the grass driving range but that was horrendous too.

it was uncut, you lose every ball even if on the fairway. so slow, with no rangers. i mean $50 bucks for this? terrible, don’t waste the money

I booked a Golf teatime on Golf Now, drove 40 minutes to play at grand Palms only to have the door shut in my face due to the course closing because of rain. When I called Golf Now, they said the course should take care of it when I called the next day to speak to Jack the manager, he said because my teatime didn’t cost me any money to hold the reservation, there was nothing that he could do. I was on the fence about trying this course, but the customer service I received as assured that I will never be back nor never recommend this course to serious golfers.

rained heavy for 10 days so the course is lush with life greens on a comeback fairways thick traps bone dry layout a challenge, for the price of 25 $ we played 20 holes on 3 courses some too wet but most playable!

The fairways looked a lot like the rough at other courses and it was very difficult to find your ball because of the grass height. The tee boxes were also just short regular grass but the pace and greens were reasonable.

Put on Golf Now as I have never played here before. Drove 40 minutes to play and when I got to the clubhouse, they told me the course was closing due to rain.

Golf Now said they weren’t informed by the course that they were closing and I just got off the phone with Pete the manager and he said there was nothing they could do. All I wanted was a complementary round or nine holes or something for my inconvenience. Instead, I got, “there’s nothing we can do “.

If this is the way they treat would be customers, I’ll take my business elsewhere .

Overall course is fairly good, but the greens were patchy in many places, plus the rough on fairway edges was very overgrown needing to be cut as you could hardly find a ball when it went into rough just off fairway

pleasant surprise as the greens on the grand are making a nice comeback the fairways were nice traps bare but all and all for the price a good golfing deal

I played the Grand and the Royal nines. The layouts were good and challenging but the tee boxes were horrible and it looks like the greens are just coming back. I think it needs a good haircut all around as some of the bushes and limbs were a little overgrown. But for where it is and how few people were on the course for a weekday it was well worth the money paid

I played the grand and the royal after a week of rain. Course was still in pretty good shape. A few greens were under repair, but still playable.

This course is very challenging has a great layout and enormous potential. Unfortunately is very noticeable that the grounds are not being maintained at all! Greens (except for two or three) are in very bad shape, couldn’t tell the difference between fairway and rough and tee boxes were a mess.

Still had a great time out there.

Im really hoping management reads and steps up their game. This course has a great layout and it would make a killing if properly maintained
