Flamingo Lakes Country Club

Not many folks out on a Monday so we got around in about 3 hours. Pretty easy track if you hit it straight. Greens held well but a few blemishes maybe from hydraulic leak on the greens cutter. They rolled just fine though.

Flamingo Lakes is priced like a better than average course and traditionally has been. The fairways are in good shape and amenities are good. But the greens on the front 9 are no longer in great shape with lots of dirt patches. I hope that they can get the greens back in good shape soon. Pace of play is also very slow on Saturday mornings.

Course was a little wet, but playable. For the price it is a good value, and layout is nice. We had fun and enjoyed our day at Flamingo Lakes Golf Course. We booked again for this coming Saturday, looking forword to it. Thanks,

Always in perfect conditions. My wife I love. To play this golf course. Our favorite in Miami.

The course was very nice, however here’s my feedback.

The access to the course was not good; extremely long line to get through the guardhouse.

Would be nice to have a snack cart driving around for food and drinks.

Maybe the golf carts can be replaced for electric; the gas are loud.

I’ve played this course a few times over the course of 4 years. The fairways and greens have really improved and are much more playable than before.

The biggest downside right now is the gate to get into the century village community. This is at no fault at all of the golf course.. but the line just to get to the security guard was 25 mins long. Once I approached the guard, they gave me a difficult time saying my name wasn’t on the list provided by the course.. even though I had a physical email with the tee time and my name on it... & I booked the tee time 3 days in advance. I was eventually let in but told my other members won’t be able to get in if their name isn’t on the tee time… how am I supposed to add that when booking an online time and paying for the party.

All this ordeal delayed multiple groups and you can see members from other groups trickling in beyond late for their scheduled time.

Again, this is no disrespect to the course itself.. but I hope this calls attention to how this can affect the course itself as I would really consider thinking twice about booking this course if I feel like I need to get there a full hour before tee time, just to make it on time and get a quick warmup in.

This course was, to say the least, a let down. If you can remotely hit a strong driver you can fly any trouble on the course. The greens were not mowed and pretty slow. The fairways and the tees were descent. The cart guy was chill. He let us get our cooler through even though the place says no coolers allowed. But it was nothing unexpected from a public course. My issue is that it was rated a 4/5 stars on GN and they charged $70 per person. Hardly 4 stars and only worth $30 per person.

No refreshments cart, slow pace of play, under staffed.

Golf course is in pretty good shape. Fairways are grassy and well maintained and most of the greens are in good shape. If you can get a deal on the price it is definitely worth the money.

Never again, or at least until they fix the gate issue.
