Flamingo Lakes Country Club

Even though we got rained out after nine holes with lightning nearby, I had a nice time with the guys that I was teamed up with.

The course is in very nice shape - the rough might be a little too high, but it wasn’t horrible.

The layout is designed for the average golfer, living in a retirement village. So playing from the blue or white tees isn’t daunting.

I would definitely like to play there again.

Too bad there’s no driving range.

I really like this course. Despite the relatively short yardage, the holes are interesting and present varied challenges. The course is in excellent condition, with healthy grass on all tee boxes, fairways, and greens. The rough is not too punitive and it's not hard to find balls which miss their mark. There is plenty of water, which adds to the ambience and makes one play strategically. The attendant in the shop was noticeably unfriendly, but professional and not a problem. There is no driving range but the chipping and putting area near the first tee is convenient. They do not allow walking, which disappointed me but isn't terribly surprising for South Florida.

This course has enough hazards to make it challenging. The staff is very polite. Definitely recommend playing this course

Been playing this track for 20 years. Never again. Playing partner needed to drop car at dealer for service so we booked a 9:16 "hot deal" tee time (we normally play earlier). Arrived at 8:20 but the cashier told us we couldn't check in until 9:00 because we had the hot deal. There was only one foursome scheduled in that 45 minute meantime. Politely asked cashier again after the other group started play and was told no - you can not play until 9:16. Silly, petty and irrational cashier or stupid policy? Doesn't matter. Never again!

This golf club features many straight and forgiving fairways, with few water hazards or bunkers. It’s an ideal course for beginners or those looking to practice and improve their game.

Flamingo Lakes is a well kept, affordable and not too busy track. It is a solid choice. Hasn’t let me down yet! Also while prices continue to go up in South Florida, it still remains in my opinion a very good track for the money. Hope it always stays that way.

Course was in good shape. Greens had just been arrayed but were in otherwise good condition.

Nice course but slow pace of play. Tee times should be 20 mins apart
