Flamingo Lakes Country Club
About
Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The layout is challenging but it is also very forgiving, making it accessible for players of any skill level. The course differs from other golf courses in the area due to its hilly terrain. Elevation changes are not common occurrences on Florida golf courses but you'll find several tricky uneven lies on this one. It also stands out for its superb conditions. Water hazards come into play on almost every hole, presenting some interesting risk-reward opportunities. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout requires thought and strategy in order to score well. Flamingo Lakes isn't long, instead it provides a quick and challenging round that can be played in less than four hours.

Rain,rain, go away...
5+ inches two days from todays playing date, closed the course yesterday, BUT, the course was in good shape with minimal wet spots...perhaps the ponds might be a bit fuller, but overall a good course...you can use your driver and 3 wood with regularity...the rains, probably limited the greens being rolled...FACTOID is the is written for a SATURDAY round...although we started late due to earlier golfers congestion, we finished in 4.-15 hrs/mins...course is more like a links course with lots of undulations but would play it again...
The TEE boxes can use an aerating...suggest the move the markers up half way, do the back aertaion...then the following week reverse it...it WOULD be helpful if fellow golfers fixed their divots in the tee box though(that is what the plastic bottle is for on the side of the cart!!!)...as for the greens, they too need some aeration and suggest they do 2-3 holes per day to mitigate the playser lamenting...hope you have your I'M SORRY protocols handy, since much of the course is surrounded by 4 story condos and make for interesting SLICE/HOOK candidates...
WOULD DEFINIITELY PLAAY AGAIN
Beautiful day; nice course
We were two and matched with another two to make a foursome. When we first set out, we thought there would be a lot of waiting, but the pace of play turned out to be fine. It was a little soggy in places because of the storms the day before. However, most of the grass was green and seem well tended. The weather was perfect which added to our enjoyment. The 4 par holes on the front 9 seemed a little short, but overall it was a nice place to play. Beware, no food/beverage beyond packaged chips, etc. No ice.
Very slow playing. No Marshalls in sight to move up speed of play. No one cared if the sun was setting they just wanted to hit every shot even if it was past double par. Let's be considerate of others and let everyone finish.
Fun executive course with good greens but no cart girl :(
Fun layouts, good greens, had a lot of fun but no cart girl or halfway house :( would still recommend!
Good weather
Course was nice but not in top shape. It is the right level for me, as a high handicap player.
You get what you pay for...
The course was in good condition. The layout was boring and not too challenging. Would not play here again.
Good value for a well maintained course
This course is a good value especially during winter when the fancy courses in Miami get super expensive.
