About
Harbor Shores boasts a Jack Nicklaus Signature layout that plays through a stunning landscape of forest and wetlands. The golf course tumbles across hills and ravines blanketed with hardwood trees, providing a round that is as scenic as it is challenging. Thanks to the massive white sand dunes that edge along the water, the course has a truly links feel. When combined with the trees and natural water hazards provided by the landscape, the golf course becomes a truly formidable test. The seaside location also guarantees that some holes will be played into the prevailing wind. The trio of holes from the seventh through the ninth plays along the water and offer scenic views of Lake Michigan. There are 10 holes that border the Paw Paw River, Ox Creek, and their surrounding marshland.

Golfer Reviews
Jack should be ashamed
Holes 6 and 7 are two of the worst holes I have ever played in my life.
Overall the greens were tricked up and there are too many blind shots.
Ravines down the road is a much better value.
Very Slow Play
1 mini outing (8 resort guests playing in 2 foursomes) ruined the day for everyone else. Because they were resort guests, the ranger didn't really want to make the group keep a decent pace. over 5 and a half hours. The pace of play just made a really nice course a pain the play. The greens are fast 12.7. But, the amount of spike marks from dragged feet and ball marks were too much. Disappointing how poorly golfers took care of the greens.
Wet and Wild
So the only negative response is that the course was soaked from a previous nights rain shower, so the course was wet and played longer.
Otherwise, great course with fantastic staffing across the board. The Greens are the most undulating I’ve ever played in my 20+ years of playing all over the US.
Bring your A game and most importantly the putter will be your most important club in the bag.
Beautiful layout & views.
Course layout excellent. Greens challenging but penal at times.
Resort & course employees exceptional.
