Good value
You get more than what you pay for here. There is construction ongoing (parking, clubhouse) but course is otherwise the same as before.
Walking is very doable.
Course is very slow if you start after 830AM
Some greens are in bad shape in areas (9!)
Fun Track, Good Design
I took advantage of a "Hot Deal" to play John A. White at 11A on a Thursday morning. By chance, I got paired with a golfer of similar ability, and we enjoyed playing together and swapping stories about other courses around Atlanta. It took about an hour and 45 minutes to play 9 holes.
John A White
Great course only 9 holes but will allow you to showcase drivers and irons
9 fun holes
This course is undergoing new clubhouse construction. The course itself is in pretty good shape and has some challenging layouts. Fun to play.
Fix your ball marks!!!
All who play John A White , please respect the course. Greens need your ball marks fixed!!!
Great layout best 9 holes in ATL. Let’s keep it that way
This course under construction
Our tee time was at 11:00 and we didn't tee off until 11:30 due to not having enough carts. There is a ton of construction so be prepared to walk to get to the clubhouse. The staff were friendly and apologetic for the wait.
Too many tee times scheduled together without the ability to pair ppl together with carts. Carts are EXTREMELY limited and the wait is for 1 hr at times.
John A White Great Course!
Im a beginner golfer and this place is perfect for those who want to find something local, easy to navigate, and economical. Also the course set up presented a variety of challenges to help strengthen your game.
Awesome Value
There’s no parking, no real clubhouse, not enough carts (and they’re gas) and the range is currently closed. Despite all of that, for the money, this has got to be one of the best values inside the perimeter. Awesome course. Really enjoyed playing here.
Forget about playing at your tee time
This course is in the middle of a massive construction project to build a new clubhouse. Instead of spending money on that, they should have done something much more fundamental: buy more carts! We waited around for 30 minutes after our booked tee time for carts to come in, and there were still two groups ahead of us also waiting for carts. We wouldn’t have been able to tee off until at least an hour after our tee time, so we left. The course itself is ok but it has to be the worst managed course in metro Atlanta. Won’t be back until they get more carts (if that ever happens).
They ran out of carts and I didn’t tee off until an hour after my original tee time. This is apparently a consistent problem. I would not go back
Great course, but wasn't able to get a cart despite reservation.
This was my first time playing this course. It's really a nice 9-hole course, but on a day where it's 90+ you need a cart. The holes are long and out in the sun.
Despite reserving carts for our 10:30 tee time, there weren't any available. They were serving the 9:30 tee times with carts by 10:45. We opted to walk since we had time constraints, but wouldn't play in the same weather without a cart next time.
I don't blame the onsite staff, but the owners should invest in a few more carts or give a heads-up when they're not able to have them available by tee-time. The onsite staff were very friendly.
Nice course, don’t let the neighborhood fool you
The entrance to the “temporary club house” is currently the building near the driving range which is closed. Park on the street across from the store and walk down the stairs.
I picked this course up for a last min “hot deal” on GN. I was super impressed. From Alabama in town for a meeting and had some time to kill and this challenging 9 hole course was well manicured. Tee time at 8:30 and by the time I got to the 9th they were finishing up mowing the last hole. The sprinklers kinda gave me a shower as I headed back to the clubhouse.
Bang fir your buck
Awesome place to play and grab knowledge from the grounds men that play and maintain the course absolute awesome course for it being a public course the greens are awesome
