Fairways of Canton Golf Club

I have played from the white and blue tees. I can tell you the white tees and views are better maintained than the glee tees. Shrubs need to be cut down on several tee locations. If you don't hit the fairway good luck finding your ball. Greens are tough for amateur play. There's just a few things I'd change, but it will not keep me from coming back. I like the challenge and I've already booked another round here.

The dog legs, elevation changes & green undulations were severe, not much fun for a 13 handicap. The rough was way too high & every ball that ended up even a little distance off the fairway was gone. Good luck trying the hold the green, no way to do it. Most miserable round I've played in a long time. The range is much too close to the 1st fairway; the bunkers were the worst I've ever seen, hard as a rock & weeds all over. I will not be going back, very glad this was a cheap Hot Deal.

When looking to book a tee time on golf now this is always my first choice. Great course for a great price. Pace of play is always on point and course is in great condition. Will continue to play here in the future.

Golfing at this location went fairly well. However, I was stressed while playing because the people in front of me were lagging. The marshal did not usher them to hurry their play which they should have. I am not satisfied with the pace of play, and I would've had a more enjoyable time if it was not as slow as it was when I played.

The grasses and weeds in front of the tee boxes make finding your target impossible.

The green and flag on #14, a downhill par three with severe drop, were block by high grasses.

There are almost zero out of bounds and hazard markers.

Lots of construction noise for new homes.

The gas carts are constantly making noise around you on a busy day. Other people driving around you looking for cell phones, or past you as a single to skip by. When you are backed up waiting, the folks behind your group hear them speaking loudly and driving their gas carts. The Golf Rules of Etiquette should be posted in the Pro Shop.

Played mid-week on a perfect September day. Course had few players on it and only saw one or two groups the entire day. What impressed me most were the spectacular views of the North GA mountains. The course had some unique holes that made the experience different than the usual courses played (par 35/37 from the blues). Course conditions were good and a bit different with no green-side bunkers to be found. Significant changes in elevation on many holes made judging distances more challenging. Although the facilities are new (2007) its feels as though they are running on a shoe-sting budget; for example the pro-shop was less than 20% stocked, the range balls are a mis-match of found balls and range balls, and the parking lot was in desperate need of re-paving. Despite the conditions of the facilities the course was in great shape and staff were very friendly. It was a great value and golfing experience. I hope the course continues to thrive in the future.

The has looked better the last few times I have played but I know that they are going through fall greens keeping. The green are still fast but a little bumpy from the re-growth from aeration. Great pace and always a challenge

Always a good time at Fairways of Canton. From the moment you walk into the pro shop to dropping off the cart at the end of the round, the staff is friendly, attentive, and focused on making your day as good as possible. Even the marshalls manage to maintain the pace of play while being friendly, encouraging, and even offering some local knowledge. Best course in the northwest Atlanta market as far as I'm concerned.

Fairways is consistently in good shape and has a good balance in the challenge of the holes.

It is Bermuda so balls sinks down just have to deal with it

Greens a little dried out and firm, but not bad for this time of year. Rough could be trimmed a little bit. Overall, course in good shape.

Fairways of Canton is beautiful course with a friendly and accommodating staff. The course is really nice and it is located in one the most beautiful settings in North Georgia. The course is challenging to all levels of play. I always take friends to Fairways of Canton for golf and a for a bite to eat.

The course is a little quirky so I do not play it all the time. I was looking forward to playing it again and I was not disappointed. The greens putted very nicely and the fairways were in excellent shape.

Played in a charity tournament here back in May. The course was in excellent condition. The clubhouse is fabulous and the staff outstanding. I live over two hours from this course but you can bet I will be back again! It's worth the trip!

First cut off fairway to brutally high. Lose ball 1 - 2 feet off fairway. Impossible to hit out of, if you find your ball.
