Red Bridge Golf and Country Club
About
Red Bridge Golf & Country Club in Locust is routed through stands of mature trees that give the course a peacefully secluded feel. The layout wanders across gently rolling hills, providing a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. There is a stream that runs throughout the golf course, coming into play on a few holes. The course is seemingly long at 7,100 yards from the back tees but it's more forgiving than it appears, which means players of all skill levels can enjoy the golf course. The design relied heavily on the natural features of the landscape, allowing the course to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings while also shaping natural hazards. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout Red Bridge that complement rather than overtake the natural challenges.

Hidden Gem
I can say that the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape with the greens rolling a 10. They offer a great rate on Golfnow and I will be back.
One of my worst golf experiences
The "country club" has a stone parking lot with no handicap parking. When I arrived at the tee in time, the starter said he sent off a threesome (that I was supposed to be teamed up with) off early and I could either catch up with them, missing some holes, or wait 20 minutes for the next threesome. I waited. On the 8th hole, we were told by the marshal to stop looking for a lost ball because we were holding up play. We finished the front in just under 2 hours, and waited on almost every hole on the back nine. Where was the marshal? Course conditions were less than ideal. The greens were fast, but the surrounds, and the tee boxes, were covered with crab grass. Signage around the course was sometimes hard to follow because the signs were deteriorating. Quirky holes with forced layups
. Many better courses have better conditions, amenities, and staff, abd are better values in the area.
Sweet course
I've played here several times the service is friendly the greens rolling fast and the rough was forgiving. The course layout is excellent they keep the greens and the fairways freshly cut I definitely will be back.
Great course
I have played this course a few times over the last couple of years and can honestly say I have never been disappointed with the course. Better than most Charlotte courses by far
Hidden Gem
The course was in great shape and the gnat's are gone.Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape. The poana mentioned in earlier reviews was gone and I highly recommend you come out to play this course. I will definitely be back.
For the right price
I got a great deal on this course and couldn't pass it up. First time playing here in 5 years and was pretty happy with the golf. I like the layout and there are quite a few holes that are testy. The only negative thing for me was the condition of the greens. They were inconsistent and a bit fluffy. I wouldn't run back to the course the first chance I got, but will golf there more often if the price is right.
Great course, slow play on the weekend.
First of all let me say I love this course. The only issue I had is that on this particular day it took 5.5 hours to play 18 holes. Fairways are great, greens are great, tee boxes are good, would be great if they were a little flatter. The only hole I don't really care for on this course is hole 10. That hole is very easy to hit it in the long bushy hazard that runs right next to the fairway. If you don't hit the ball far off the tee you can end up in it very easily.
Steady
I've played Red Bridge a several times in the last 5 years. It's always in good shape and a pleasure to play there.
Overall, the course was in good shape.
The greens were a little fast and the first cut off the fairway was very deep.
It appeared the weather was starting to get to the grass as there were areas starting to brown up.
Nice Course
My rating is based on paying a lower rate for non peak tee times. Course is in great shape tee to green. Greens are receptive and roll true. Bunkers are maintained. Challenging layout, you have to hit quality shots to get around this course. Had a gnat problem earlier in the summer but seemed a lot better my last round. Employees are nice.
Great course and value
Best course conditions and best value all in one spot!
Red Bridge
A Diamond amidst the stones. Grrat find for me. Love the course. Eric, clubhouse staff member is awesome.
Great Value.
Overall a good course in pretty good condition. The tee boxes are a little dry. There are some invasive grasses in the fringe. Unfortunatly people who play don't know how to repair divots but that is everywhere. Most of the water coolers were empty which is tough on a 97 degree day.
Always Good
The course is always in good condition, the greens are good and the pace of play, except on weekends is also always good.
