Red Bridge Golf and Country Club
About
Red Bridge Golf & Country Club in Locust is routed through stands of mature trees that give the course a peacefully secluded feel. The layout wanders across gently rolling hills, providing a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. There is a stream that runs throughout the golf course, coming into play on a few holes. The course is seemingly long at 7,100 yards from the back tees but it's more forgiving than it appears, which means players of all skill levels can enjoy the golf course. The design relied heavily on the natural features of the landscape, allowing the course to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings while also shaping natural hazards. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout Red Bridge that complement rather than overtake the natural challenges.

Great course
I actually played this course 2 days in a row. My first experience was not so great because the guy I played with was a jerk. I decided to go back.
Greens had been punched a few weeks prior but had nearly recovered. They were fast and rolled as pur as expected. Lost one or two strokes per side. Fairways are heavily sloped on some holes and are in great condition. The course is deceptively long. The short par 3's are deceptively long, some of the par 5's are reachable, but good luck on 18. She's a beast. The par 4's are pretty unique.
This course requires great course management. You will not play well without it. I would try to play with someone who has played there before for some friendly advice.
They must think everyone is on tour
This course is a beautiful course and in great shape. That's where my praise ends. They really think everyone shoots in the 60s there. Almost every hole has a carry over water or a hazard. Many of the carries were over 200 yards. Par threes over 200 yards par fives over 550 yards. And the worst part is there's no sign showing the description of the holes. Not even on the scorecard. If you haven't played there many times and remember the course there's no way to shoot well. I won't be back!!
Nice course
Overall a nice and pretty challenging course. It has five par 5s and a lot of good scenery. The only problem I had with the course is that the greens could've been smoother I hate to see the ball bouncing when I putt.
The course was in great condition.
The course was in great condition. Has a few challenging holes. Would recommend and play there again.
Love the length and challenges. Fair but can bite
For the money, best course in Charlotte. Every course should lower green fees to have a full course.
Great job
Less than expected
This was a great layout! Couple of tricky holes that can add excitement to the round. The course was in pretty good shape except for the recent aerification of the greens. I would have waited another 2 weeks or so before playing this course if I had known the condition. Some courses listed on golfnow have the honesty and integrity to post aerification alerts when they undergo maintenance. While others simply don't take the time to post alerts or try to hide this fact in order to maximize play. I realize golf courses must have play to keep operating, but players appreciate this integrity and will consider this when contemplating future outings. Under ideal conditions I would rate this course an 8 out of 10. But all things considered I would drop this number to a 6. I would be open to playing this course again, although I will ask about current course conditions before booking a tee time.
red bridge
The greens were punched, not what was advertised very poor
Course conditions
The fairways were in decent condition considering the recent rains. Some of the tee boxes need work and the greens were in very bad shape. The greens were punched earlier in the week and the holes from from the punching were dried and having a major affect on our putting. Any put out side of 3 feet would bounce and go in all different directions.
Wait a Few Months
Red Bridge is a great layout, but I would wait a few months before making the drive out there. They had us play the front twice, as the back 9 greens were being aerated. Well I would have hated to see the back 9 because the front 9 greens were terrible, nothing but sand and holes. There was nothing on the courses website or GolfNow about the poor conditions. We weren't too happy about it.
Nice facility, good layout.
Great place to play, when greens haven't been aerated. Didn't know til we got to the ciurse the greens were being aerated.
This is a fun course
The front nine was closed so we played the back twice. The course was really backed up because of this but cleared up after the first rain shower. I really enjoy playing a course that is maintained as well as this one. The greens are fast even after we had two brief showers. This is a challenging course which allows you to use just about every club in your bag. We will be back.
Great place
Really nice place. Tee boxes to greens in great shape, would play here anytime
Great Value & Great Layout
Overall Red Bridge is a great course. A great mix of short par 4's and lengthy par 5's that will make you wish you has practiced your 3 wood a bit more. My only real issue with this course is how incredibly hard the fairways are. They are hard as a rock. Be careful taking a divot here because you might have to cut your round short with a bruised wrist.
Red Bridge
Enjoyed the course. Will definitely benefit next round in having played. Several blind drives/shots that will be easier second time around. But overall very good course in very good condition.
Fun, but tough!
I play there frequently. Some of the staff could use some friendly skills. The course is fun, but hard. Greens are tough to read and some are so fast you roll off the green on an easy put. Fairways are very firm, hopefully over time they will develope some sod and soften up. Overall it is a good value compared to it pier group.

Great time the course was excellent, this course had alot to offer . It is a good layout.
Nice course
The course I thought was a great course for the price of $41. It was a challenging course, nice layout, very peaceful and relaxing, well kept, greens were good. However, when we finished we wanted to play more golf since I had drove 4hrs from Tennessee. When we asked about playing 9 more holes the staff guy told us it was $22 to play 9 more or $27 to play 18 more. Holy cow that's highway robbery for somebody that had just played. Not to mention the fact they were gonna make us play with somebody we didn't know or make us wait over an hour to get a tee time to go back out alone. Ridiculous! That's a crazy price for a replay $22 seriously? It almost encourages you not to play more! Needless to say we left and didn't play more. The clubhouse looks like a fancy double-wide trailer and the food options were so-so at best. This could easily be one of the nicest, most recommended courses around if the replay price was reasonable & the food options were better. Loved the course.
Challenging but fun
Thought the course was great. Front nine was cool because had 3 par 3, 3 par 4 and 3 par 5s. But the real gem to this course is the finish. 17 is a fantastic par four that is a complete dog leg right. Not a long hole but that second shot will give even the best of us some nerves with water in front and woods in back and no inbetween. Then 18, 620 yards from the men's tees. Was down here for a couple weeks for work, highly suggest!
