Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
About
Situated in the heart of Lowcountry, the Golf Club at Wescott Plantation is part of one of the area's oldest plantations. There are 27 holes of golf available at the club, which are divided into three nine-hole courses: Oak Forest, Burn Kill, and Black Robin. Although each golf course has a different character and scenery, they are all dappled with centuries-old live oaks and wetlands. The Oak Forest Course takes its name from the original plantation and has wider fairways than the other two courses. Lush vegetation frames each hole and the classic bunkering embodies the traditional feel of the course. The eighth hole is the signature hole of the entire golf course, distinct for both its scenery and difficulty. Par will be tough on this par 3 with a lake bordering the entire left side.

Wescott
The course was in very good shape compared to others I played in the surrounding area. The one drawback was that the area around the greens it’s fairly soft compared to the rest of the course. The people were very friendly and very helpful. As a 17 handicap, playing the course from the blue tees, it was a challenge, but a fair challenge.
Wet but good
Course had received lots of rain but greens were very smooth. Looking forward to playing this course again.
Wescott golf Saturday morning
Lucky early start, fast round even when paired with walker for first 9. No drinking water on course. No drink cart. No ball washers. Signage for drinks and restroom at turn not seen. Nice staff, confusing pricing with golf now reservation. Not sure where problem lies there. Course is in great condition and long but fair.
Nice. Course
Vacation in Charleston NC. Played in round and picked westcott on golf now. 25 min drive out 17. Found they were hosting Drive Chip Putt regional for a trip to Augusta Natl. Wide fairway not too much trouble. Course was soft from rain a few days before. Greens rolled nicely albeit a little slow. Rough was serious. Would certainly play again if in the area.
Parched
No water on course ona 95 degree day make it cart path only totally the wrong call . . There’s are major flaws in the thinking of management .
Wescott
Overall course conditions very good and improved since last round in 2019. Greens recently aerated.
Aeration
The greens here had been aerated. That should be noted on the app so that people are aware before making a tee time. Their is no wait that we would have played here had we known the condition of the greens.
Good Course, 27 Holes!!
Pace of play was fine, greens were fast, lots of goose poop all over the place!
About 30 minutes from downtown Charleston.
Nothing special
Really slow play. Started at 11:44. Gave up on 12th hole at 3:00.. Course conditions were good and greens rolled true. Layout was beyond bland
