Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Burn Kill Course
About
The Golf Club at Westcott Plantation is a 27-hole course that is situated within one of the area's oldest plantations. The beauty of the Lowcountry is evident throughout the golf course with centuries-old oak trees framing all the layouts and lush vegetation along every hole. The names of the courses: Oak Forest, Burn Kill, and Black Robin, all have origins in the plantation's history. Burn Kill is tighter off the tees than Oak Forest, but more generous than Black Robin. The golf course has a classic bunkering style and there are streams, ponds, and wetlands interspersed throughout for added challenge. The 8th hole is one of the most unique holes of the entire course. On this par 3, the black and blue tees attack the green from a completely different angle than the white, green, and red.

Great layout!
The course had great fluffy fairways and was wide enough for the average golfer to stay in the fairway. I look forward to playing there again!
Safe place to play
They were conscience of the pandemic. Felt comfortable being there and the course was in great condition.
Average joe
The course was very nice. Greens rolled great thank you can’t wait to play again.
Satisfied
I was more than satisfied with the course layout

Excellent facility
Very friendly staff and an amazing experience to play this course. We are from SA in Africa and touring through the states playing as many small town courses as possible. And with golf now it is a pleasure
Fast Greens
Greens in good condition very fast. Course seemed a bit hard got lots of roll in fairway. Overall a good value and we will play again.
The Pro is a joke!!
The Pro there Bo Turocy is HORRIBLE. He assaulted me when i went to talk to him about the attack on my character that the staff said i was “rude” when i was nothing but the opposite. The pro and staff are a joke. They have no ranger, it could be your tee time and the people on the tees is an hour away from their tee time... other than that great 27 hole layout. Worth the play for sure hopefully the staff is better! Dont go on a tuesday morning!!! Senior day... sheesh
Awesome course!
Probably one of the nicest courses I have played in that area! Cool layout and fun to play. Love the wide open fairways! It was well worth my 40 minute drive!
A Post Card Look
Played with the new Pandemic Conditions with one to a cart. A lift from the sand traps and the pins or cups were inverted so you did not have to touch the flag. The course looked like a Post Card on every hole. Bright white sand and green fairways and greens. I even played well too.
Great shape
Wescott is by far in the greatest shape of any of the area’s course. Everything from tee to greens are top notch. They’re doing a great job especially considering the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outstanding Course with Outstanding Facilities
Greens, fairways, and bunkers are in outstanding condition. Big spacious clubhouse. Pro Shop has everything a golfer needs.
Best value in the area
Best price for an excellent course. No frills but 27 great holes and a nice clubhouse. My favorite.
The Putting Greens Were Fantastic!
The course was in great shape. Fairways were full and green, Sand Traps were recently redone, and the Greens were true and smooth.
Golf in March
For snowbirds in March, this beats anything up north. However, dormant bermuda makes for a round of tight lies and unpredictable greens. I was expecting a little more but am certainly happy to be playing in 78 degree weather.
Nice layout
Played Oak Forest first, kinda slow play but to be expected when your a twosome following a threesome on a cart path only day.
With all the rain the course was soft and muddy, greens were true , I enjoyed that. Paired with a local gentleman that was informative.
Second nine was the Burn Kill nine , I liked it more , the layout and length. Plenty of tee boxes to satisfy one’s ability.
A thrift nine , Black Robin was being occupied by a High School tournament.
The starter was a friendly informative Lady, and all staff I came in contact with was friendly...the Pro Shop gentleman could learn to maybe smile.
All in all I like the course, but seldom in this area beyond spring, so conditions are limited by weather, but I think I would really enjoy this course in firmer conditions.
Course is getting better
Course played good considering all the rain we have had. Good rollouton tee shots. Greens in good shape. Good speed..stil need to clean ball in fairway so take a towel.
