About
The Highlands golf course is one of three courses owned and operated by Meadows Country Club. In addition to the Highlands and Meadows Courses, there is also the Arthur Hills-designed Groves Course, an 18-hole executive course. The Highlands Course has an "old Florida" layout equipped with plenty of trees and water that tumble across gentle hills. You'll be playing through majestic oaks and towering pines as you take on this challenging-but-fair test. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens demand accuracy but generously the reward well placed shot. The golf course finishes with a tricky par 4. Your tee shot will to be straight and accurate to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left and right, positioning you for a mid iron back into a green that sloped front-to-back and guarded by bunkers on both sides. There is also a lake to the front left.

Friendly Course
Great friendly staff in a paradise setting course!
Good $60 course
Tees were a bit of a mess. 3-4 greens were spotty.
Overall the greens need some maintenance. Thin grass and somewhat muddy.
Greens are terrible. Too many bare spots. Little grass around the greens.
Improved over three years ago
A nice layout much improved over 2022, last time playing the course.
Tough shape
The greens were not even that green, more like a light green and thin. Smelled like they had lots of chemicals on them. Clearly something was wrong with the greens.
Great value for Golf Now rates
The Highlands is a nice golf course with a very friendly staff. The course itself gives you many different looks not just a cookie cutter straight up and down course. I don’t think it warrants the $105/rd fee but with golf now discounts it’s right there. Fairways, traps and rough are great. Tee boxes spotty and the greens can be faster. Nice experience for a public facility.
Fun course!
Full disclosure…I work at the course. Played it last week and can write that The Highlands is in the best shape I have ever seen it! Fairways and greens are really nice! Great layout!
Nice course decent layout. Weren't allowed to use the practice area but there was a putting green at the first hole. Greens on the front nine were fair they got better on the back but were very slow for a semi private club I would play it again
Highlands course
Google maps took us to tennis club. once we found bag drop, couldn't find clubhouse. poor/confusing signage all around. But...Highlands course is beautiful! Wide open large fairways. Natural settings. Greens were fast and true.
Much improved since last played
The course is in much better shape than 3 yrs ago the last time playing the course. Some greens are still lacking on some spots but overall great improvement.
