The Highlands golf course is one of three courses owned and operated by Meadows Country Club. In addition to the Highlands and Meadows Courses, there is also the Arthur Hills-designed Groves Course, an 18-hole executive course. The Highlands Course has an "old Florida" layout equipped with plenty of trees and water that tumble across gentle hills. You'll be playing through majestic oaks and towering pines as you take on this challenging-but-fair test. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens demand accuracy but generously the reward well placed shot. The golf course finishes with a tricky par 4. Your tee shot will to be straight and accurate to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left and right, positioning you for a mid iron back into a green that sloped front-to-back and guarded by bunkers on both sides. There is also a lake to the front left.

This course needs better maintenance
The front nine had horrendous greens. The second nine greens were much better. I will look for other courses to play, Highlands I probably will not play again.
Course has gone downhill
First time playing this course in a year. Front nine greens were in terrible shape. Back nine were a lot better but overall, I wouldn’t play this course until they fix it up.
Pace a little slow
Threesome in front off us thought they were in the finals at the Masters.

Greens a little rough and could use some maintenance but pretty course and great layout

Greens were the worst I’ve ever seen on a course open for play!!!! Payed $50 and not worth $25. Never go back!!!!

Front 9
The front 9 greens were in poor condition and fairways were just ok . However te back 9 was a 9 out of 10 for condition

Worst greens I have played in southwest Florida. Bare spots for 50% or better of the greens.
Not in shape
Nice layout. Very friendly staff. Greens are burnt 50%. Course needs taking care of.
Bad course
A refund should be given for the greens fees of the first nine holes. The front nine was in the worst condition I’ve ever seen for this golf course.
Front nine a mess
Greens on the front nine are basically unplayable. I wouldn’t recommend playing until they have resolved. Tee boxes are also in bad shape. Back nine was better- average condition for greens.
Too much money, terrible greens
I won’t be playing here again. The greens are in awful condition and this course is not good otherwise.
Worst greens I’ve ever seen.
Play time for 18 was just ridiculous.. I played 9 with my buddy and we paid for 18 but getting done the 9th hole and realized that it took 3 hours to play just 9 because multiple groups of 4 in front of us hitting extra balls off the tee consistently.. the greens are just filled I mean FILLED with sand everywhere. You’re ball would hit the green and sand would fly up like you landed in the trap.. just horrible to charge 85 for in the morning and 60+at twilight .
Old and Tore Up
Price was right for a afternoon tee time, course was in bad shape. Worst greens I have seen, all tore up and not maintained. Meadows is an older area and it shows, will not be going back to this course.
