The Highlands golf course is one of three courses owned and operated by Meadows Country Club. In addition to the Highlands and Meadows Courses, there is also the Arthur Hills-designed Groves Course, an 18-hole executive course. The Highlands Course has an "old Florida" layout equipped with plenty of trees and water that tumble across gentle hills. You'll be playing through majestic oaks and towering pines as you take on this challenging-but-fair test. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens demand accuracy but generously the reward well placed shot. The golf course finishes with a tricky par 4. Your tee shot will to be straight and accurate to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left and right, positioning you for a mid iron back into a green that sloped front-to-back and guarded by bunkers on both sides. There is also a lake to the front left.

Poor Greens
The front nine greens were horrible. They need to be replaced not patched. If I were the superintendent I’d be embarrassed. Not worth going to again. They should give a rebate.
In need of maintenance
Most of the greens and tee boxes were absolutely awful
Price vs course condition
1st 9 holes was in terrible shape and terrible won't even describe the condition of the greens. 2nd nine was considerably better shape. Not worth the price. Have seen the course in much better shape previously.
Concessions at turn
Service was SLOW, hot dogs not hot, staff not friendly
Nice course, even w a few patchwork greens; confusing cart paths
Course in descent shape though greens are spotty; Groves greens are much lusher though not as fast. Construction on site adds to confusing pathways to different courses/holes/lots; most staff helpful

All greens were fair, some greens were just awful.
Fairways we’re just ok
The Highlands
This course desperately needs some TLC. The greens on the front have many bare spots, just dirt. Many dried out spots with no grass in the fairways. The back 9 is better but it looks like the greens are starting to dry out there too.
Too bad, because this is a nice layout. This has always been the issue at the Highlands. I think it is the lack of adequate irrigation and they put most of the money into the private course, The Meadows.
Course conditions
Front nine wasn’t playable. Nearly every green was unputtable, as grass was scant to nonexistent. Back nine was a different course altogether. Greens had more grass and were green, vs the big brown and bare areas on front. Layout and design of course is fine, just needs lots of TLC
the greens are trash, totally unplayable. to charge over $70 is a total rip-off.
Over priced, IMO!
I mean this wasn't worth the money, greens were bad, patch jobs everywhere, dead spots, ant hills... Don't expect to make anything... The fairways were bad, tee boxes were bad.
It could be a nice course, if someone showed it some LOVE- but sadly that's just not the case.

This course gets worse every year.The prices have doubled and the course has not improved one bit.Don’t waste your money on this track.
the greens are crap. Unable to putt on them. all the greens need to be torn up and redone
