The Highlands golf course is one of three courses owned and operated by Meadows Country Club. In addition to the Highlands and Meadows Courses, there is also the Arthur Hills-designed Groves Course, an 18-hole executive course. The Highlands Course has an "old Florida" layout equipped with plenty of trees and water that tumble across gentle hills. You'll be playing through majestic oaks and towering pines as you take on this challenging-but-fair test. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens demand accuracy but generously the reward well placed shot. The golf course finishes with a tricky par 4. Your tee shot will to be straight and accurate to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left and right, positioning you for a mid iron back into a green that sloped front-to-back and guarded by bunkers on both sides. There is also a lake to the front left.

Excellent layout, poor course condition
Enjoyed the layout & the course has potential but needs an overhaul. Lots of hardpan. Tees uneven & scraggy. Greens were healthy but not well groomed.
3 weeks ago, the Greens were somewhat under repairs, bumpy,choppy. Now, that they have been seeded the Greens are beautiful..
On a 1-5 stars, I would rate the Highlands at 4.0..
Much ilmproved
Course was in much better shape than the past few years.
Easy Saturday morning round
Three of us played in about 3.5 hours. Course is in great shape by my standards. Greens had been overseeded a few weeks ago so they were a bit slow but consistent. Always enjoy a round here and will make it back a few times this winter.
Good course to play
The course is currently undergoing a greens revamping with overseesing.,the staff is very friendly and helpful. The back nine is in better condition than the front nine, however overall it’s a fun course to play that is reasonably priced.
Nice layout but no notice upon booking of greens
Not bad for what I paid but no notice on Golfnow site greens overseeding happening making them virtually too thick and unreasonable

Nice layout. Fairways were good. Greens in bad condition.
The greens were terrible! The grass was too high! Missed a lot of putts because of it! Paid $49 for 18 holes! Disappointed to pay that much and missing putts because of that
A Little Disappointing
I’ve played this course every time I’ve stayed in the area. I always have an enjoyable round. The staff is awesome and I’ve paired up with some great people from all over. The condition of the course overall this time was decent, some bare spots in the some fairways. However, I found the greens terrible. Every one was overgrown and incredibly slow. It was like putting on the back of a fuzzy caterpillar. It won’t stop me from playing again next time I’m in the area but it will make me ask about the condition of the greens next time.
2years ago good shape this year so disappointed as we took friends to play with us. So not worth the money. Will not go back.
The Grove is a short 18 but not be fooled by the distance, the greens are tough. This is our first time playing and the greens beat me bad. Will definitely play again.
